If you prefer to live high and mighty and watch the rest of the world suffer, so be it. What would take very little effort from a nation of our stature could mean life or death for thousands of people.

We have a voice that impacts our government. We have the freedom and the opportunity to establish homes for ourselves, find jobs to make a living, and create our place in the world. Citizens of Northern Uganda don't have that luxury. They have no voice and no means to support themselves or their families, if their families are even still alive. The thousands displaced from their homes have no way to ask for help. We can be the voice for those who have none.

Again, it wouldn't take much for us to make a huge impact on the lives of the afflicted. </content>

How does this end anything. I see nothing but flowery rhetoric and one huge &#8220;IF. What about the subject stating &#8220;and for other purposes&#8221; Exactly what other purposes?

Fix those appropriately and go for it. </content>

This bill has been long sought after by the people who want to end the terror of Joseph Kony.
On June 23 over 2000 people from around the country (and at least one kid from Australia) traveled to DC to lobby their senators and congressmen. This was the largest lobbying initiative carried out for an African issue in the history of the United States.
I hope that you will take the time to write a short email to your senators asking them to cosponsor this bill. It really will make a difference.
If S1067 is made law, and President Obama carries it through properly, literally millions of lives (including the lives of thousands of children) will be positively affected.
Joseph Kony's war has lasted over 23 years, and this bill is How It Ends. </content>

I think this bill is a positive step in the right direction for a country that has been overlooked for far to long. It is time for the people of Africa to become apart of the world in a way that shows the beauty of this nation. It may not address all the issues facing Africa, but it's a start. </content>

$40 million in secondary excess allowance. So if our armed forces ran out of the over $500 Billion it gets every year, (which, by the way, is 8x the second largest military budget of Great Britain) AND THEN runs out of it's immediate emergency funding, THEN it woul duse that $40 million. It has sat untouched for years, even through the wars of the last 8 years.

Honestly, that $40 million won't be needed by the USAF anytime soon.

Those words again, &quot;and for other purposes&quot;, when will Americans wise up to these words being placed in almost every Bill that is being written? The $$$ allocated here will never reach the people who are really in need of help, it will be eaten by government enitities in both countries. h'mm, a $40,000,000 reduction in the Department of the Air Force? </content>
