Large donations to campaigns aren't wrong, secret donations ARE. This is'nt against freedom of speech, its against buying elections, people should know who is sponsoring our government officials.

One Sentence: This bill will restore the values this country used to hold by taking the free speech given by the Roberts court to each dollar bill and returning it to the people.

One sentence: Even the ACLU who are as leftist as they get, oppose this bill as being against the first amendment... that's pretty bad, not gonna lie. This bill better not pass or we will lose our free speech and other civil rights more than we already have. It's biased, partisan, and it's sole purpose is for the democrats to prevent the tea party and right organizations and groups from advertising the incumbents with their "democratic" (worst description of their political ideology) agenda out of office and restoring the values this country used to hold. only 20% of the users support this bill, it's travesty that the congress would vote a majority for it.

Just look at the laundry list of special interests that oppose the bill to get an idea of what we're really looking at. Do we want these powerful organizations secretly funneling money into politics? Do we want attack ads to be the only source of voter information? The attack ads were actually worse this year, it's not your imagination, and killing these private donations is simply going to provide us the most basic protection against the nightmare of our democracy- secret interests expressing absolute control over politics.
