S.413 - Cybersecurity and Internet Freedom Act sounds so pretty, so founded in freedom (cue liberty bell chimes)! It sounds so very similar to SOPA but with regulatory control going to the DPT of Homeland Security instead of directly to the President.

So let's clarify that: the DPT of Homeland Security is a cabinet-level organization, appointed by executive order, that serves at the pleasure of the president. So this is different from SOPA/PIPA how? Oh right, the executive's right-hand man can censor or shut down the internet instead of the executive. Much better!

Progress! It's the American Way!

This bill is more or less SOPA/PIPA's soggy reheated leftovers.

A for effort guys, F for originality. </content>

We all know how lovely the folks at the airport are to deal with so I have to ask, guys, do new domain registrations come with a comlimentary latex glove?
