Most of you who suggest that we move on are usually white, however, there are a few blacks who say this from time to time also. If you happen to be white & feel this way; what gives you the right to suggest such a thing? If you're white, you can't even begin to comprehend how slavery still effects blacks even today. Very rarely does anyone acknowledge the fact that this country's economy was built on the backs of blacks who worked against their will, bred against their will and beaten to death or to the brink of death at will. During the period of slavery in America, this country's top GDP was cotton bringing in around $300,000,000 annually. Yet the slave labor that generated these returns were never paid, could not own a home, or any type of property actually. Yet its Americans who selfishly say things like "move on" with no consideration to what Blacks may learn for themselves from such a study. Its so sad that so few care.
