Mr. Reid,

I watched you just on TV right now quote section 1 of s2634 saying there is no reason to not vote for this bill. You left out the section that talks about the limitations you place on our military leadership in the last section of this simple bill. I know why you left that part out. </content>

Mr. Reid: You are worse than pathetic. I watch C-SPAN everyday and if I didn't do any more on my job than what you do on yours there in the senate I wouldn't have kept my job for very long. Your position on immigration sucks. Thanks for telling all the American citizens to go to HELL. Anonymous </content>

Dear Fellow Americans:

&gt;NOTE&lt; IF you agree with this effort, forward this email. BUT if you do NOT agree, just smile and delete.

 This is NO attempt to influence your vote and NO.... I have NOT been approached or solicited or asked or paid or anything....to "launch this letter". I am reminded that when Americans fail to speak out against what they perceive as bad politics and bad policies, we ALL loose.

I have always been a taxpaying and voting citizen. My first vote was for John F. Kennedy. I have felt great disdain for African Americans who vigorously support the Republican Party. When the Clinton's were being attacked by Ken Star and were subjected to the dirty tactics of a smear campaign by the Republican Party, even 'tho personal misbehavior invited that, I wrote letters of support to the Clinton's and, on their behalf, to numerous politicians, media pesons and to church leaders across this nation.

In my opinion, this 2008 Presidential political contest is NOT so much about race or/and gender, as it is about POWER. But it MUST also be won ethically and fairly. As it appears to me, BOTH the Clinton's are making a strong case to validate the belief that the abused, once gaining power, may become the abuser.

Speaking for myself only, I am grateful that when there was a call for the bus boycott in Montgomery, AL, that NOT one African American Minister called for support of continued segregated busses. Every "chance" to support a candidate is NOT the same thing as an opportunity to promote the GOOD of the people. To express my concern about their actions, I have personally contacted certain community leaders via web addresses, who have been motivated or/ and felt obligated to step forward with unnecessary and untimely "ENDORSEMENTS" or/and divisive debasing comments.OH! What would Adam Clayton Powell think now?

~~~ PLEASE help God BLESS America~~~  It IS our responsibility to step IN here. The media, while we NEED them for information, IS also fanning the flames of a fire that has the potential to become big and dangerous.
I hope to have as many people as possible call the Clinton Headquarters; numbers listed below. I have called.YOU tell them:
1. Tell any one who answers the phone that you want to see an end to the negative campaigning
2. That you are a private citizen who does NOT like the personal attacks and distortion of the record
3. That you WILL withdraw support and WILL campaign against ANY candidate who initiates and maliciously  perpetrates "personal" and cheap attacks
4. That we Americans want POSITIVE campaigning on THE ISSUES from a leader who seeks to unify, NOT just win  .............OR....... say whatever YOU choose, but DO call to say something that may help foster a more civil campaign
I have sent this email to HUNRDEDS OF PEOPLE on hundreds of sites including Nat'l Democratic Party, THE CLINTON'S.....library etc et al, COLLEGES, URBAN LEAGUE, NAACP...... talk radio hosts, popular news media......... and HUNDREDS of other people have sent it out also. Pass on AND make YOUR calls NOW.
IF people started calling me THE Queen of England, I would likely wonder why, but in NO case would I believe myself to be unequivocally entitled to the socio-political advantages of that office. Maybe someone should tell Bill. He was "NICKNAMED" the first Black President. He wasn't REALLY him.
Thanks, Janet
I have been out of work since November 2007. My unemployment benefits have run out. My money has run out. I unable to obtain employment and need more time to continue my search for employment. I am at risk of losing my car. Gas prices continue to rise daily. I am highly skilled in my field. My State Rhode Island is one of the hardest hit with unemployment. I am 53 old and have worked hard all my life. I've paid taxes all my life, and this is how my country is treating me. Unbelievable. The Senate, House and President continue to play games as peoples life's are put in jeopardy. Totally disgusting. So all the extra time that I am not spending on looking for employment, I will dedicate to making sure any politician that votes nay on not extending unemployment insurance will be out of a job their next term by informing the public of their decision in every forum available. I will encourage others to do so as well. It is time in this country for the people to take control of their government again and take it out of the hands of the uninformed, out of touch, uncompassionate, ignorant, greedy, self absorbed fools that are the true terrorists ruining this country. Pass a fxxkxxg bill extending unemployment benefits or you will be out of a fxxkxxg job!!!!!!!!! Try to remember you work for all the PEOPLE of this country! And all those PEOPLE will remember how you vote on this issue.    </content>
Nothing in this world is more alarming then the fact that United States Citizens are being attacked
and done harm by the Homeland Security Satellite Program. I was attacked while in Ohio early
last year, March and April, after some traveling to Oklahoma, and on to Amarillo, Texas.
	Apparently, this torturing started before my trip West, for I suffered substantially, prior to
that time, not realizing what was happening to me. Throughout 06-07 Fall-Winter, October until
the time I went on my journey West in March, I suffered an agonizing experience of an equal
consequence. I consider it much more evil and more deadly, for it was done within my home, day
and night, while sleeping, while eating, while using the bathroom.
	I&#8217;m sure you are extremely hesitant about even thinking such a thing is happening. Yes,
this was my first thought when Satellites defense technology came to mind, &#8220;Is it possible?&#8221;
&#8220;Could it be?&#8221;, someone like me, being under surveillance, being attacked by such high tech
equipment?&#8221; No Way! I thought. But, after weeks of suffering its affect, I discovered truly,
satellites are involved. Of course, it wasn&#8217;t an overnight revelation.
          Sadly, nearly all affected citizens have no idea as to why they are in throbbing pain&#8212;only a
few, those involved would understand such uncivilized tactics. Spying and harm is going on today
and now. Are you willing to believe such evil, as it happens, is going on in my home? The End.
                                        Satellites used in Home surveillance
        U S Citizens are in danger of being harmed by the U S Homeland Satellites. Use the Internet
and click on Satellites, Surveillance, and Torture for more information. Satellites are not the only
equipment used in spying and doing damage to citizens. Much like Satellites, there are ground
units that penetrate walls of buildings doing surveillance and harm. Ground units for surveillance
are even more covert, for they operate from neighboring homes.
	There is extreme danger of being spied upon and done harm without the person knowing.
For most individuals, the damage done will appear to be a normal infirmity; even the doctor will
view the ailment as normal sickness. Fortunately, the incoming satellite and ground energies can
be detected and identified, by using an effective barriers, galvanized metal partitions. It's a trail
and error in most cases, a matter of using barriers checking to see if the pain, a throbbing ache,
continues. For the most part, it&#8217;s nearly impossible to block surveillance. Once an individual has
been located, using people on the ground, &#8220;coordinators&#8221;, the bombarding frequencies from either
satellites or ground units can torture citizens endlessly, weakening, possibly causing death.
This is what happens Sen. Reid when the Government cuts off people's unemployment and when the economy is weak and there are no good paying jobs. Please pass the War Bill this week.
L.A. seeing more people living out of their cars
By CHRISTINA HOAG, Associated Press Writer Mon Jun 23, 2:48 PM ET
LOS ANGELES - Having lost her job and her three-bedroom house, Darlene Knoll has joined the legions of downwardly mobile who are four wheels away from homelessness.
She is living out of her shabby 1978 RV, and every night she has to look for a place to park where she won't get hassled by the cops or insulted by residents.
"I'm not a piece of trash," the former home health-care aide said as she stroked one of five dogs in her cramped quarters parked in the waterfront community of Marina del Rey.
Amid the foreclosure crisis and the shaky economy, some California cities are seeing an increase in the number of people living out of their cars, vans or RVs.
Acting on complaints from homeowners, the Los Angeles City Council got tough earlier this year by forbidding nearly all overnight parking in residential neighborhoods such as South Brentwood.
But some people are just crowding into other parts of the city, including the seaside community of Venice, where dozens of rusty, dilapidated campers can be seen lined up outside neat single-family homes. The stench of urine emanates from a few of the vehicles, and some residents say they have seen human waste left behind.
"They're nasty and gnarly," said Venice resident Jeff Scharlin. "We've heard about drug dealing and prostitution in them. I've never seen it, but visually they're a blight and they take up parking space."
In Los Angeles, as in many other cities, it is illegal to live in vehicles on public streets. But the law is not easy to enforce. Police have to enter a vehicle to find signs that people are living there, such as cooking or sleeping, and occupants often refuse to answer when cops knock.
An easier way is to restrict overnight parking. In L.A., a first offense carries a $50 fine, and subsequent violations can cost as much as $100.
Parking-enforcement officers often give vehicle owners a warning and tell them to move on before issuing a ticket, and that usually solves the problem, said Alan Willis, a city transportation engineer. But other cities in the area are not as lenient.
"I had my motor home towed in Culver City. It cost me $500 to get it out," said Desiri Hawkins, who lives in a small RV in Venice. "I got ticketed in Santa Monica and had to go to court."
Tourist states with temperate climates, such as California and Florida, have long been magnets for the homeless. Los Angeles is the nation's homelessness capital, with an estimated 73,000 people on the streets. A survey of 3,230 homeless people last year in Los Angeles County found nearly 7 percent living in vehicles, according to the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority.
"It's trending toward an increase," said Michael Stoop, acting executive director of the National Coalition for the Homeless. "People would rather live in a vehicle than wind up in a shelter, and you can't stay on a friend's couch forever."
People living out of their cars or campers tend to be more well-off than the homeless on the street. They usually have jobs or disability checks that enable them to maintain an old camper but do not allow them to afford rent.
"For more working-class and lower-middle-class people, the car is the first stop of being homeless, and sometimes it turns out to be a long stop," said Gary Blasi, a University of California, Los Angeles, law professor and activist on homeless issues.
Some Venice residents are clamoring for overnight parking restrictions. But parking limits in oceanfront neighborhoods are problematic because the California Coastal Commission requires communities to accommodate surfers, fishermen and other early-morning beachgoers.
"The complaints are getting louder and louder," said Los Angeles City Councilman Bill Rosendahl.
For years, some cities such as Santa Barbara, Calif., and Eugene, Ore., have accommodated people who live out of their vehicles. Activists in Venice are looking at some of those ideas. Santa Barbara, for example, allows vehicles to stay from 7 p.m to 7 a.m. in church and city parking lots.
Knoll said she can barely afford to drive around with the rising price of gasoline eating away at the $950 monthly disability check she receives because of mental illness.
She said she is also sick of police waking her up in the wee hours by pounding on her vehicle with their nightsticks, and she is tired of fighting with residents who call her "lowlife scum" and hurl other insults.
"We need somewhere we can have a safe haven, where we won't be harassed," Knoll said as the wind from a passing car rocked her RV. "I never thought I'd be living like this, but I'm stuck. This is it for me."    </content>
Dear Senator Reid, This War funding bill is essential to our Troops, and as an Ex-Marine, I too support this bill and the Unemployment Extension, Disaster Relief, especially the New GI Bill. This package was hammered out by the White House and Congress. The papers say "if the Senate passes this Legislation as is with out additional expenditures tacked on, the President will sign it". Now there are allot of people out here that are truly hurting. From the loss of their Jobs,Homes, either from our Economy or the Disasters. This Legislation must be passed, for God's Sake there are people's lives at stake here. Please don't play Political Poker with this Bill. Just pass it with the same Language as the White House and Congress put in there. Thank you    </content>
Too many families are in extreme hardship because of foreclosure. I came from another country, and we have a law for foreclosures, you get a refund of about 75% of what you paid if your house is foreclosed. Years ago the money lending was partly shouldered by out Social Security System - the first 100,000.00, and the rest are borrowed from the bank. It takes about 3 to 5 years of non-payment before you get evicted from your house. I think the housing law here in the US must be reformed to make it more humane, or it will destroy a lot of lives.     </content>
Get off the backside of your butt and do SOMETHING for this country. Rip the environmentalists a new body cavity and get our own oil in our system so we can save the 6.1 TRILLION dollars the arabs are going to reap from this latest increase in a barrel of oil. What must we do to heat our homes? Paying more than 3 bucks a gallon for heating oil is ludicrous because our government can't stand up for us. Give more money to the world, The cost of making ethanol is costing more than it's worth in burning in a car. All that's accomplishing is to drive up the cost of food. Nice going, a real snooker job on congress for this fiasco. Go environmentalists and Al Gore, wreck this country as fast as you can.
