Why didn't you "come out" as a Republican instead of running on the Democratic ticket and wasting my vote? I'm doing all I can to educate friends and family about your support of H.R. 217 - taking away medical care from dis-enfranchised people, and you're support of H.R. 3 where you once again voted with the Republicans.

I am sickened to realize that out of 192 Congress people in DC you rank 186th as the democrat who votes against his party/for the Republican party the most. There are ONLY 6 democrats in all of Congress who vote with the Republicans more than you - and not by much. Why don't you hold a news conference and announce that after counsel (spiritual and psychological) you have decided to tell the truth and admit that you are really a Republican.

Dear Congressman Shuler. Thankk you for voting against Pres. Obama's omnipotent redistribution bailout bill. Thak you for your support of our Constitution and each Americans right to choose and to make our own decisions. Bureaucrats should not decide on "one size fits all" that according to that bureaucrats thinking of which he has no knowledge of what each citizen wants. Amer. citizens know best and can figure out how to spend and save their own earnings. Corporations, businesses and banks should not be rescued by taxpayer bailouts and debt foisted on to our children and grandchildren. The people can support those businesses in the market place that they like for what ever reasons. Some will win and some may fail. This is the Amer. way and has made us a strong nation in the past. Government should not be in the business of reallocating and redistributing taxpayer capitol. Thank you again for standing on principle under adverse circumstances. Sincerely,From a CA taxpapyer.

Stop voting against women's rights! You can't get pregnant, so don't act like you know anything about why abortion services are or are not necessary. De-funding Planned Parenthood is irresponsible and puts low-income families at significant risk for more unplanned pregnancies, STI's, and the tragedy of more lives lost because of back-alley abortions. It's disgusting that you would sponsor a bill like H.R. 217.

. . .Because you lack the life experience and you fall under the "too rich to care" category, I would like to educate you on the subject of planned parenthood. The fact that they may be operating in the black is irrelevant to this discussion. You think you are stopping "abortions," but all you are doing is helping to increase unwanted pregnancy. Planned parenthood provides birth control to some who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford it. Why do you hate women? and why do you specifically hate poor women? It appears H.R. 3 will now cause women who are pregnant as a result of rape, to now have to prove they were raped to an accountant just out of college and working in his first job. Also, what does the phrase "forcible rape" mean - As a victim of rape, I can assure you that any rape is forcible. You deceived all of us who voted for you by pretending to be a democrat.
