Regarding the gun control issue, you have already exhibited more common sense than most folks within your own party. I totally agree that the majority of the the citizens in the United States are in a state of "knee-jerk" panic reaction. You are a voice of reason and moderation. I expect to see and hear great things about you in the Senate. We need more senators who are willing to step back, take a deep breath, and respond with tempered reasoning.
