    Feb. 28, 2008

The U S Government has become dangerous to all U S Citizens.

Fear has gripped the Government and many people of The United States, causing
havoc among all citizens. Not in history of civilization has such atrocities been realized.
Spying and torture has become a common practice to any individual living or not living the
productive life, people who live peacefully, people who are satisfied with their lives.
Once the Government considers a person or persons an outsider, they are
considered alien and a danger to the society. The government fears these people for their
disrupting the overall progress of the American Way. Growth and prosperity, has become
a major concern to those people dwelling in luxury and vanity, while individuals who are
satisfied with the common way of living are scrutinized and condemned for being lazy and
    indifferent to any advancement.
America is the product of devastation to the planet Earth, and the realm of outer space.
The government has sold-out to the destruction of this planet with endless violations,
removing the material resources and destroying natural environment, ending nearly all
ecosystems for the natural forms of life.
The elderly, in their time to relax and enjoy the things they have accomplished, the
government relentlessly hounds, reminding the retired they are still useful and can be of
some consequence to the community around them. The government continues to rely on
production and progress, the very accomplishments that are burying any hopes of this
planet Earth from ever recovering from absolute destruction.
    The End

I just would like to see S.2544 passed before the end of next week there are a lot of people out there who could do more for the economy with an unemployment check for 13 weeks then a small little bit at the end of May that the anual ring in office has given us now the pittance in May will not do a thing to help because people are going to just pay-off old bills that they owe and not buy anything that will stimulate growth and prosparity in our country but it sure will help CHINA and JAPAN along!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree the the small amount of money will pay for my house payment in June but what about April and May. The $600 that I will receive will not ene up in the local department store. However, a portion of a unemployment extension would.

I spoke with a representative yesterday from unemployment and I was told that the problem is as follows: once you exhaust your unemployment, your name is removed from the unemployment stats and in such we are no longer being accounted for. So the government is not receiving statistically an accurate account of the millions of unemployed people in this country. Only the people who are receiving unemployment are being accounted for. In turn, Congress is not seeing the full picture. The stimulus check like putting a bandage on a broken leg. Get real people!!

The government can help people with housing they can't afford. Why can't they extend out benefits? i've been looking for work and it's bad out there.

Let's just keep sending our money and resources to countries that couldn't care less. That's what this administration is all about. Bush and his ilk don't care what's happening in America. It's obvious that he's got short timers syndrome. Why should he care? He's got a home, money, wealth, food for many years to come. It's the middle and lower classes that continue to struggle on policies made by and for the upper class and businesses of America. I was laid off in October and had to file bankruptcy just to keep my head above water. More and more people and companies are going to do just that. Our options are limited just like our incomes. We've managed to send a vast majority of jobs to countries by outsourcing which I believe is a huge mistake. But whatever, Bush is a moron without enough foresight to see what's going on in his own backyard. Shame on you Mr. President.

I'm a hardworking single mom of one 16 yr old son. I have been diligently searching for employment amidst 100's of other qualified applicants. To look at me, no one would know i'm also dealing with a slight disability which was caused by a foreigner hitting my car while on my way to work a couple of years ago. Was able to recover w/temp work from that loss of auto and full time employment only to be unemployed once again. With 3 interviews again last week and receiving another "thank you but rejection" letter on Saturday, I'm scared. There is no one else to pay my rent, auto loan, or living expenses. My last UIB will be in 3 weeks. What will my son and I do?? At this point I have to have faith and pray for a miracle.

I would like to see the bill passed for extension of unemployment, not only for myself but also for the economy.
At 48, and a single parent have worked and supported my
children, with out ever applying for any type of assistance,
not that I think that is wrong.Due to the economic situation in our country,I lost my job in September, and have been unable for the 1st time to find new employment.
My unemployment has ended, and I have no health insurance, the only good thing that has come out of this, is that for the first time I have really followed what is politically going on with our country. And now I am depressed. That is why I will be voting for Obama,In hopes that he can make change.I see no other options at this point. As the stimulus check that we receive will be a little short of paying my taxes.Which really makes me sick,
considering that none of it goes to help us!We should all be fruitflies on Olive trees in Europe, or own huge farms in texas, where we could sit around and get paid not to farm. The only extension that I see, is the lines at our soup kitchens and homeless shelters, the big difference is that it is more of our senior citizens, our middle class families and our children.I will hope that our president, and the members of congress that do not see this,
    open their eyes.

I would like to see S.2544 get a hearing and pass the Senate. I have run out of unemployment benefits. I have over 100 resumes out. My college is helping me with job placement and they haven't been able to even find a job where I can get an interview. I have a bachelor's degree in business administration. My husband is waiting for his Social Security hearing and in the meantime we are now living on his $600.00 disability check from the insurance company. I am hoping either I will get a good paying job or his social security comes through before we lose everything.

Here it is - May 3 - been unemployed since Nv 2007 and haven't been able to find a thing. Unemployment runs out this month. Single, mortgage, bills, etc ... guess it's time to start thinking about selling the house or filing for bankruptcy. Well, this bill has been around since January 22 ... I guess Congress will shelve it longer so they can go on vacation for the entire summer (which, we will pay for). Maybe it's just time to leave this 4th world country and step up to a nice 3rd world country - Mexico seems nice. Sorry, I'm just really frustrated and bitter - I worked hard for these people and now I know it's worth nothing. Thank you Bush/Congress - thank you thank you thank you.

I too will loose my benefits in 3 weeks and there are so many freezes on employment it is a crises. Locally here 1 new company opened and offered 150 possitions and over 800 people applied. People need an extended time to find work or reorganize their lives to accomidate the loss of work. We are in desperate need of Unemployment benefits to be extended ASAP. Thank you

I've seen comments that extending unemployment benefits may "encourage" laziness since having a cushion or check coming in will cause the unemployed to not look so hard for employment. That argument is so flawed. If one's unemployment benefts run out and there is no work in sight, that person will out of necessity if they have children to feed turn to welfare. I'd think welfare is more of an encouragement to not work than extending unemployment benefits for a short period of 13 weeks.

Come on congress, wake up. Let's take care of those at home first. The stimulus checks are a joke too. Anyone with IRS debt (even those engaged in an ongoing consistent payment plan) had their stimulus checks confiscated to be applied towards that debt. How is this stimulating the economy - wasn't that the objective?
