H.R.3200 America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009
I am writing as your constituent in the 7th Congressional district of Tennessee. I am writing as your constituent in the 7th Congressional district of Tennessee. I oppose H.R.3200 - America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009, and am tracking it using OpenCongress.org, the free public resource website for government transparency and accountability.
After spending an hour and a half reading through H.R. 3200 the so called Affordable Health Choices act of 2009 I am amazed that Congress would be so audacious and uterly unrealistic as to undertake such a sweeping and invasive measure as this.
This bill if not overturned or drasticly limited is openening the doors to governmentmental abuse that will turn the United States into Socialistict state that would make the former USSR look like a democratic republic.
Given the governments track record with Social Security, the recent housing and banking debacle which has caused the greatest recession in American history how can any thinking person believe that this bill has the slightest chance of delivering any meaningful result other than greater dependency on government and further socialisation of America.
I was shocked and appaulled to see the number of Republicans in the house who supported this bill.
I would appreciate knowing your views on this bill and what action you will be suporting in overturning this legislation given Republican control in both houses in the next election.

Sincerely,
James Taylor

For more information how your office can better handle public feedback through an open API and open standards, contact us -- even today, there are significantly more efficient and responsive ways for our elected officials to receive email feedback than the status quo of individual webforms. For greater public accountability in government, we must make the process of writing one's members of Congress more accessible and empowering. Looking ahead, we will release more data from Contact-Congress letters and Congressional response rates back into the public commons. This will result in a new open data source on bills & issues people care about, as well as encourage best practices in constituent communications and make it possible to grade members of Congress on their responsiveness & citizen satisfaction.
