According to the U.S. Census Bureau, twenty percent of our population has a disability and the statistics are even higher in Florida where I live. The rest of the population are temporarily able-bodied. That means that even the bank president, soccor mom, or teen athlete could break their leg tomorrow or acquire a severe disability.
The "sandwich generation" includes a family raising their children when their parents can no longer live alone, so they join the family already raising children. Often these parents have a disability.
I am a registered voter. I am also a person with Multiple Sclerosis that uses a wheelchair. We need this bill passed to include 44 in hallways to manuevere into the accessible bathroom.
Thank you,

Americans are living longer and we must accommodate them in public establishments such as restaurants, banks, grocery stores, and churches due to the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Please change our requirements for new homes.
