I have to say, if I wasn't from rustbelt Ohio, I wouldn't support this bill. The combination of the knowledge of just how important these auto jobs are to my hometown and the fact that Obama (the president that would be in charge of distributing the loans) has supported it while encouraging auto companies to make major changes to their business model and the energy efficiency of their products leaves me more likely to support it DESPITE the ridiculous hemorrhaging of money in DC these days.
I'm glad to see Nydia Vasquez has supported it though. It's going to be a tough fight in the Senate...

Even though the Auto Execs are crooks, and nothing more, and although I don't like seeing the government throw money at them, it has to be done. If the auto industry goes belly up, what major industry is left in America? None.
