This is going to be highly beneficial to America..the numbers in favor of passing the bill are staggering..the # of patents, publications, and faculty that the highly skilled immigrant community contributes to, on a yearly basis, is indicative of their impact on our technology / economy..If USA needs to stay ahead of the pack, this is a key piece of legislation that needs to happen, and happen quickly...

Here are some facts.
1. We, the USA has (atleast till date) an edge because of it's technological advancements and PhDs add to that advancements. If anyone thinks that a country can prosper without technology, we will be dragging ourselves behind. World is not waiting for us. Other countries are encouraging people with higher education to come to their countries.
2. 35000 yr is mostly for postdocs. This is just like saying physicians make 45000 yr just because intern physicians make that much. Will that be a correct statement?
