On May 26, 2009, by jml6m - I know that the bill won't be expensive for us, but I don't think our focuses should lie on global poverty, but rather, poverty within our country. This bill just sounds like a "poster board bill", or a bill that is meant to show that America "cares", and nothing more. If it got passed, so be it, but I don't think it will be helpful in the long run.
