OpenCongress Bill Summary
-
This bill would encourage the Executive Branch to put all public government information online in a timely manner and in user-friendly formats. It would also create an advisory panel to develop government-wide disclosure policies following the principle that government information isn't "public" unless it is online. All information that is exempted from FOIA disclosure would be exempted from the disclosure requirements under this act as well.
