This is omnibus legislation designed to increase public access to information about government. It would require members of Congress to file personal finance info, foreign travel reports, gift reports, and earmark requests online in a timely manner. Bills would have to be posted online at least 72 hours before floor action and committee votes and reports would have to be posted online in a timely manner. Congressional Research Service reports and all completed FOIA requests to be automatically posted online. Lobbyists would be required to report which senators and representatives they meet with.
