I think this is a very worthwhile effort. The Montford Point Marines have lived in the shadows of both the Tuskegee Airmen and the Buffalo Soldiers for over 60 years. These men endured the same conditions and treatments as those other great men but have had little if no recognition. The Men of Montford Point served with distinction in three Wars (WWII, Korea and Viet Nam). They have also served the community as Former NY City Mayor David Dinkins or Professional Baseball Player Dan Bankhead or Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Johnnie Johnson. Most of these men that are still alive are in their 80s, let's give them their just recognition while some of them are alive to enjoy it, they deserve it!
