OpenCongress Bill Summary
-
This bill would add a fifth tier of unemployment insurance benefits in states with unemployment rates above 7.5%. The new tier would provide 20 additional weeks of benefits payments, but it would not pay back benefits retroactively to cover the period between when the last tier expired and the new tier takes effect. The bill also includes a one-year extension of two tax credits for businesses that hire unemployed workers. For more info, see our Blog coverage and our publicly-editable BenefitWiki for state-by-state info.

FLarelene, you're resorting to the same tactics politicians frequently use. Every time I present facts that get in the way of a good ol' fashioned Republican-bashing, you switch the topic to whatever poster you think I am.
Is your world so small that there are all Democrats, and one "NoBama4me"?
By the way, where above do I defend Republicans? I'm pretty sure I mocked Sher1's ridiculous rant, then posted a link that shows Senator Boxer's wonderful grasp and understanding of the legislation she signs off on.
