I think most of you who are against this bill have no idea as to what law enforcement personnel do. We are not ever allowed to strike. We are, with few exceptions, almost never allowed to participate in any considerations regarding working conditions, pay, budget, policy, or anything else. About all this bill does is give us a voice. Next time you need a cop, or you see one who has committed suicide due to the nastiness of our job, or one who has been killed in the line of duty, please remember this is one of the most dangerous vocations in the world. Divorce rates are sky high, injuries are a fact of occupation. Why should we at least have SOME input as to policy, etc. ??

S. 3991 is great. It will place additional tax burdens on citizens, grow union coffers, reduce services, and further bankrupt our nation. Thank You.

Oh Mr. Reid. Have you given up on the Patriot Act for Food so quickly? Now you are ramming the massive union bargaining bill for Fire and Police through under a different name? Come on now, why not call it what it is.... A massive power grab!
S.3194 - Public Safety Employer-Employee Cooperation Act of 2009 NOW CALLED (S.3991 - Public Safety Employer-Employee Cooperation Act of 2010)....
Same pig, different face! This move proves how deceptive you are.
