    • On April 17, 2010, by pramsey - If the current law does not prohibit the televising of Supreme Court proceedings is it realy necessary to spend time and money to ammend the law to allow it. It seems to me that if it is not prohibited it is up to the court to decide if it is appropriate or not to televise any given proceedings.

    • On May 01, 2010, by jabariabramson - This came up in 2007. http://tinyurl.com/28wtpam Seems they couldn't close and this is just opening more wounds. Personally I think that might 'celebratize' the Justices and reduce their 'nobility'. If someone really wants to know about what the courts are doing they can go to the website and get what they need. Even if it was televised, most of it would go over the average TV viewer's head.
