I have never seen a strong coherent argument against net neutrality because I suspect that the only coherent positions expose one as a corporatist stooge. An amendment to this bill seeks to tie the FCC's hands in supporting net neutrality. It is a shameful and underhanded political maneuver that directly attacks the freedom of the U.S. citizen.

That's not exactly true. A lot of the mortgage collapse was because Fannie & Freddie were buying too many bad loans. They bought the loans because it was legal to do so by the FDIC & treasury among the other overseers. The banks then created a secondary and tertiary market for those bonds. Banks had to give loans to those who wouldn't normally have had the ability to qualify because of anti-redlining laws, as well as mandates to increase credit through the early 2000's in order to expand. When you say, "We all deserve Democracy and we're going to get it, good and hard", I'm not sure what you mean by that, but I'd rather have a republic any day.
