There is nothing wrong with individuals becoming [renewable] energy 'producers' and competing with coal-fired and other fossil fuel plants...this is the land of opportunity, right? If the time ever comes when supply = demand for electricity, rest assured the power companies will still be paid well to maintain the power distribution grid and connectivity.

This bill would, "mandate the ability of residential solar customers to sell excess electricity back to the grid". Much like ObamaCare, it seems that Congress is hung up on the notion that they can force people and companies to buy something they don't want. Well, I'm not buying it!
