    • On November 30, 2011, by anablake - I second that, ryan6432. It wasn't a bill that was only legalizing horse slaughter but none the less, it now provides the funds for inspection, etc, which will allow it to happen. The only reason it wasn't legal to slaughter horses prior to this bill was the fact there was no funding for the inspections so legal horse slaughter was still tethering on a line and this is what cut it. What needs to happen now is a dedicated bill making horse slaughter illegal in the U.S. in plain english with no stipulations.

    • On July 18, 2013, by Chanelle - I don't eat meat and I find this act very weird: if we didn't slaughter them until now, why start now? I don't suppose their meat is healthy, or else I would have found more details about it on the internet than of "gluten free bread recipe":http://yourglutenfreekitchen.com/blog/gluten-free-bread-recipe/ s. What worries me is that the horse is an intelligent animal and killing beings with intelligence (possibly conscience) is disturbing.
