    • On February 06, 2012, by okwolffcub - I support bhall945.. There's too many questionable things about this bill, which very well could leave an openning for government sanctioned/legalized hate crimes carried out by the department of homeland security and state agencies at the behest of Janet Napolitano and the gestapo that is the "department of human services". People need to keep close watch on some of these factors, along WITH some of the "representatives" that just squeak the stuff right on through.

    • On January 03, 2012, by bhall945 - I oppose the Violence Against Women Act in the form it is currently written. While this bill is good intentioned it is flawed in that it ignores domestic violence against men. The statistics in the bill only refer to women as domestic violence victims and as such the data is misleading. Domestic violence against men is not mentioned. Although the reports vary in magnitude, the US Government's own data indicates that domestic violence against men is significant - as high as 50% of total reported / unreported incidents. Statistics in the Violence Against Women Act are often used to determine funding for domestic violence programs. Since male statistics are not included, men often have no access to support programs.
