    • On August 18, 2009, by VLeichsenring - We as American citizens want to work and support ourselves so that we may pursue the American dream. It is our legal right! We have had that right taken away (through no fault of our own) by a government that fails to address the issues that keep us unemployed and issues that induce unemployment. Issues like creating good paying jobs, companies that send our work overseas, illegal’s entering our country taking jobs from its citizens. As long as my government fails to address these issues that keep American citizens unemployed, the government that I elected, needs to keep extending unemployment benefits to those who are in need.

    • On August 25, 2009, by cowboybill117 - This bill should already be law. People can not look for work when they are looking for their next meal and have no place to live. I can not believe that this country has forgotten it's people,in favor of people overseas.Stop sending our money to other countries until the American people are working again.I am 66 years old, retired and army vet.I will be on the street the end of sept.because my age is to old for most employers.America is self destructing with this new Congress.
