Shortly after this hearing (October 2011) the Cannabis & Hemp genome were mapped. The results show there is no THC in the bio-synthetic pathway of Cannabis, nor Hemp. Cannabis’ pathway ends at THCA and/or CBDA neither of which are psychoactive. Hemp ends at CBDA. ALL the laws implemented since this time saying Hemp contains “less-than 0.x% THC” are inaccurate. Cannabis does not produce THC, Cannabis only produces the inactive ingredient THCA. THCA must be converted via non-Enzymatic Decarboxylation to produce THC. The SIMPLE solution is Repeal Prohibition and Require a Prescription for minors to Decarboxylate THCA into THC.
