"with the media's help, he paints a fictional nightmare of a nonexistent world where a reckless population of stupid gun owners cause 13 innocent kids to die a day from guns." Wayne R. LaPierre Jr., the NRA's chief executive officer, told members. Republicans cheered. That was in the year 2000 at the RNC. 13 innocent kids a day calculates to 4,745 a year. The nightmarish lie LaPierre referenced has come true and our reality consists of more than double those numbers of innocent lives lost. So why do we continue to listen to people like this? Has the time come for the NRA to clean up its act? For gunowners - notice how LaPierre calls gun owners stupid. He knows that will get you and he assigns the name calling as having come from the left. That's how they aim to get you mad. All we want is to keep our kids safe.

Assemblyman Michael Patrick Carroll has reintroduced The Citizens Protection Act (A1493 Revises procedures for securing a permit to carry a handgun.) to the NJ Assembly. It is critical we all do what we can to help the passage of this important bill. Concealed/Open carry is a right that all New Jersey residents should enjoy and exercise. Please contact your Assemblyman/woman and Senator urging them to support A1493.
