Please stop skirting around the single payer issue and being afraid of calling for a national healthcare system ala the rest of the civilized world. You will have great public support.
Read the June 1, 2009 NEW YORKER about a “doctor’s pen” being the main cause of wasteful spending within our antiquated bloated health care system. For-profit hospitals and plans will not work in this arena.
