Those who vote for unconstitutional warrentless wiretaps and vote to protect the criminals that violate our privacy are not worthy of the position they hold. It’s impossible to justify undermining the very essence of our constitution in order to protect it. Another sell out.

Senator Bennett, This a plea from a concerned citizen that hopes you will use your Valuable influence with your colleagues and pass this Iraq/Afghanistan War Funding, The New GI Bill, Disaster Relief funding and the Unemployment Extensions. Please pass this Legislation with no more additional funding to it, just as is. There are people out here that need help immediately so their families are safe and secure for the future. We the People ask you very Sincerely to influence the passage of this Legislation. May God Be With You In All Ways.
    Sincerely and Respectfully,
    Tim

His vote to end the filibuster on the Nomination (Confirmation of Cass R. Sunstein, of MA, to be Administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, Office of Management and Budget ) shows that he cannot be trusted to represent me. I hope that we can find a better Senator to represent us here in Utah next year.

I live in Missouri, but God bless your governor for having the courage and fortitude to STAND UP for your state’s SOVEREIGNTY and claim your land back from the Feds. The federal government is TOTALLY out of control! I urge you to stand with your governor and EVERY elected official in Utah in support of this action and DON’T TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER! Utah is YOURS, your rights come from God not the Feds and don’t let them tell anyone in Utah otherwise. There will almost certainly be some pain associated with weaning ourselves off of the federal government teet, but without doing so we will no longer have freedom or liberty.

“But a Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever.”

~John Adams, 1775 — letter to Abigail Adams

I am interested to know, Senator, why you continue to obstruct help to the unemployed? If it is a question of cost, consider the cost of all those who are unemployed going on welfare. Or the cost of lost mortgages, rents, car loans, and the hundred other things these people will no longer be paying for. A question of taxes? UI is taxed, just like all other income, so not a reasonable excuse. Please, for the sake of all of us, help this extension pass. Your constituents need this.

You and the rest of the Republicans are so transparent! President Obama, as well as us Americans, know what you are doing. Stalling and not voting on what the people want and need in this country. Do the job you were elected to do, and start voting! Your tactics in stalling is only going to back fire on you all. Show our President some respect. How you treat him, is a reflection on how you treat us Americans. We may have been fooled in the past, but not anymore! We The People have spoken by electing President Obama into office. We need change and we need it now! And quit blaming President Obama for the disaster in the Gulf. Enough is enough!

You are a disgrace to your country and should be embarrassed to have the UNITED STATES in front of your title.4th of July is upon us-it reminds us of history and how the people can come together to make a difference.I hope you and your family meet the same outcome as the 15,000,000+ unemployed. You turned your back on the Citizens by playing games and stupid antics.Assistance needs to be offered to ease the minds of the families and allow continued dignity no matter the cost. You spend OUR money like water and the American people MUST and SHOULD be priority one!
“As good government is an empire of laws, how shall your laws be made? In a large society, inhabiting an extensive country,it is impossible that the whole should assemble to make laws. The first necessary step, then,is to depute power from the many to a few of the most wise and good.”
John Adams, Thoughts on Government, 1776
Obviously we dont have the few wise and good in the senate-but we have the power to change that..

I am asking to please get something done about the unemployment extension. I just ran out of benefits today…I have worked non-stop until 2008 when my shop closed. This is ridiculous that I have to sit down and figure out how I am going to feed my son. I have a degree and the skills to aquire a job, the only problem is there aren’t any jobs. Come on now, please tell me how I am going to pay to keep a roof over my child’s head and feed him? Can you answer that? Oh I forgot you already showed your concern for the american people with your NAY vote.

  • pelmof 06/29/2010 6:51am

    Dear Senator Bennett,
S.3520 needs to be passed immediately. There are 15 million Americans who are “unemployed through no fault of their own,” and who are also frantically attempting to find new jobs that do not exist. The majority of these 15 million have a family dependent upon their income, so that increases the number to possibly 30 or even 45 million Americans who are in imminent danger of losing everything. When this happens, the financial and moral ramifications for this country will be dire indeed. I’ll say it again— S.3520 needs to be passed immediately! Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Enjoy your retirement. Or maybe you can make nice with Arlen Spector and you two can go fishin’ and try to figure out where you went bad.

  • technopolitica 09/22/2010 11:17am

Seems to be an intelligent individual, a rare trait among republicans these days, and is certainly well-spoken and presents mostly logical arguments for his views. But there is no excuse for his blind adherence to the agenda of the radical conservative minority and its continued obstruction of the legislative process.

Thanks for your vote on the dream act. It is what it is but still. Thanks for your support. God bless!
