Those who vote for unconstitutional warrentless wiretaps and vote to protect the criminals that violate our privacy are not worthy of the position they hold. It’s impossible to justify undermining the very essence of our constitution in order to protect it. Another sell out.

Middle class America wake up! A vote for a Republican is a vote for your own demise. Is war moral or do the Republicans just use religion to sell out the well meaning and good folks of America? Remember in November!!!!!! Vote all these bums out!!!!!!!!

Thanks! for voting nay on S 3101 (Medicare Competitive Bidding Delay)…lets just turn this country into a socialistic society. Do you realize that by allowing competitive bidding you are making large companies get bigger and shutting down thousands of smaller Durable Medical Equipment companies, thus thousands of jobs have been lost. Medicare recipients have not been educated on this issue and are in for a scare. Thanks again….greed and money= US government!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Anonymous 07/22/2008 4:12pm

Thanks for support on S.3268, but we also need to support HR5351 and all renewable energy bills and incentives for this country and start an incentive program here in MS.

“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.”- Abraham Lincoln

“A compromise which results in a half-step toward evil is all wrong.” Theodore Roosevelt
“I believe we have a deficit of moral courage in the United States Congress. We have many learned individuals who know what is right but have not the courage to stand against the moral corruption that is now attempting to undermine our republic.” -Dr. Tom Coburn
Thanks for letting our liberties and freedoms slip away under your watch.

Maybe y’all should put all that energy into finding a job.

  • AnnaSchaefer 06/20/2010 11:40pm

You and the rest of the Republicans are so transparent! President Obama, as well as us Americans, know what you are doing. Stalling and not voting on what the people want and need in this country. Do the job you were elected to do, and start voting! Your tactics in stalling is only going to back fire on you all. Show our President some respect. How you treat him, is a reflection on how you treat us Americans. We may have been fooled in the past, but not anymore! We The People have spoken by electing President Obama into office. We need change and we need it now! And quit blaming President Obama for the disaster in the Gulf. Enough is enough!

  • Revolution 06/28/2010 7:11pm

You are a disgrace to your country and should be embarrassed to have the UNITED STATES in front of your title.4th of July is upon us-it reminds us of history and how the people can come together to make a difference.I hope you and your family meet the same outcome as the 15,000,000+ unemployed. You turned your back on the Citizens by playing games and stupid antics.Assistance needs to be offered to ease the minds of the families and allow continued dignity no matter the cost. You spend OUR money like water and the American people MUST and SHOULD be priority one!
“As good government is an empire of laws, how shall your laws be made? In a large society, inhabiting an extensive country,it is impossible that the whole should assemble to make laws. The first necessary step, then,is to depute power from the many to a few of the most wise and good.”
John Adams, Thoughts on Government, 1776
Obviously we dont have the few wise and good in the senate-but we have the power to change that.

S.3520 needs to be passed immediately. There are 15 million Americans who are “unemployed through no fault of their own,” and who are also frantically attempting to find new jobs that do not exist. The majority of these 15 million have a family dependent upon their income, so that increases the number to possibly 30 or even 45 million Americans who are in imminent danger of losing everything. When this happens, the financial and moral ramifications for this country will be dire indeed. I’ll say it again— S.3520 needs to be passed immediately! Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Over $800 million for pet projects but not a single vote to help the unemployed. Shame, shame, shame! In a state that is in the top 10 unemployed! You reap what you sow, Mr. Cochran. I live in North Mississippi and I will remember you when I vote. As will all of my family and friends. This nay vote will be republicans wazterloo.

8 Sponsored Bills (Ranks 91 of 100) 0 Made Into Law (Ranks 34 of 100)
    66 Co-Sponsored Bills (Ranks 46 of 100) 0 Made Into Law (Ranks 69 of 100)

I am sorry, but your record as a lawmaker is a disgrace to our state. You, and your fellow republicans as a whole are completely useles to me, and the sooner you are out of office the better.

For too many years (since 1973) you have lived off the people of this country, many of whom sacrifice a great deal so that we may live free. You have lived like a sponge, you know not what personal sacrifice is. You don’t have to tell a child at night why he can’t have somethings and others can.

I was raised to believe in the democratic process, but what I have witnessed over the past few years makes me yearn for a system that is fair and equitable. The system in place now is only for those who have…not for those who have naught.

You may or may not read this…I know that, sadly, this will not influence you one damn bit.

  • prayerful 07/22/2010 5:54am

Mr. Cochran, Your actions against the passing of the lastest unemployment compensation bill is cold and careless. Mississippi is at the bottom of the list in education, health care, infant mortality, and decent housing. We have teachers been laid off because of lack of money in the education budget and you decide to vote with your party and try to deny these hard working people minimal benefits of $235 dollars a week so they can care for their families. I will pray for you and the other thoughtless Senators who tried to deny millions of Americans basic housing and food for their families. I am elated to know that despite efforts to delay the bill, GOD is in control not the Republicans.

  • cvaughn33 11/30/2010 10:49am

Senator Cochran, I’m very disappointed you voted against the moratorium on earmarks, but I’m not that surprised considering you are probably among the top 3 senators in earmarks for pet projects. I know you aren’t up for re-election until Nov 2014, but I along with many others will be keeping an eye on your voting record. Please keep in mind what happened on Nov 2nd, 2010, and know that your constituents are keeping score with their votes…

  • Superpower 12/30/2010 5:36am

You’re a sellout and an EPIC FAILURE. You should consider retiring or better yet, become a Democrat considering you vote like one.

  • toquinn55 04/05/2011 1:37pm

The poor people of Mississippi are tired of all this arguing. We want action. If you cannot do the job, we need someone up there that can. We are all watching the votes. The poor need the breaks on taxes and the rich need no excuses.
