Middle class America wake up! A vote for a Republican is a vote for your own demise. Is war moral or do the Republicans just use religion to sell out the well meaning and good folks of America? Remember in November!!!!!! Vote all these bums out!!!!!!!!

I am a conservative and usualy vote Repulican. Democrats values are not generally mine. However, I do look at the issues and I can’t understand why the Repulicans voted nay on cloture on Senate Bill 3268. It is interesting that Obama and McCain abstained from this vote. So did Edward Kennedy and 4 Repulicans. It’s the issues that are important. The Republican party has been hijacked by RINOs.
Two Repulicans had the courage to vote yea, Collins R, MN and Snow R, ME.

They…Republicans…refuse to vote on cloture because the bill is a fat money/power grab by the LIBERALS! It’s been reported that only 4% of the total package will stimulate anything! The rest is PORK! PURE PORK! That’s why!

You’re kidding me right. a business is a person FIRST! If you have a customer do you care where their money came from (provided legal of course). You’re product was marketed and a person with government money SPENT money in their or your community.

It’s been proven that businesses aren’t and don’t the right thing. or we can go back to the Mega Monopolies (Rockerfeller, Morgan). Next time don’t take money from Government aided/assisted people.

Collins I thought you were a reasonable person… You’re hurting businesses and more importantly, you’re hurting the MOM and Pop that UI Extension benefits could have added to the economy.

Vote R or D, either way government gets in.

" It depends on what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is."

    Dear Mrs. Collins,

I hope you will join me and vote “No Confidence” in Obama. Huge Deficit spending, Nationalized banking, nationalized healthcare, nationalized auto-industry. Hello!? None of these are representative of the Republican party values, as I understand them. Crisis→ catastrophe→ Soviet-States-Of-America. Sorry, I don’t buy it.

Is this the “Change” Americans were “Hoping” for? Please remember how much blood has been shed to protect us from this. Will no-one wake-up and stop this maniac?

Please help stop the socialization of America.

Balanced budget anyone? The CHANGE we all need: If a request to spend Tax Payers money doesn’t pass through the appropriations committee with a “zero” in the balanced box, then it is irresponsible government – pork-amondous – fraud against the American people.

    Sincerely,
    -Mitch Farrar

The passing of this H.R.1388 Bill as we see and understand it, returns the World, and America to a bygone era, not that of Franklin D. Roosevelt’s President ice, but to 1933 Germany and what the Germany people where subjected to by their government, need there be more said.

I am firmly against this Bill, and feel totally betrayed with it’s being passed. On behalf of my family and I, and our well being as a free people, we want, insist that H.R.1388 be REPEALED.

    Frighteningly Yours,

    Ms.bunny

PS: as a member of the Jewish faith, this represents the SS and Hitler youth to me, and I am EXREMLY OFFENDED and INSULTED by this bill!!!

  • mitchpamf 03/27/2009 6:23am

    Dear Mrs. Collins,

The passing of this H.R.1388 Bill as we see and understand it, returns the World, and America to a bygone era, akin to what the German people were subjected to by their government in the 30’s.
I don’t support Federalized Volunteerism, especially when it is mandatory and the mandatory education (indoctrination) of our children.
I strongly urge you return to the citizens of the United States of America, the Free Speech guaranteed to them in our Constitution. Individuals who volunteer to serve in this institution, who wish to serve the people of the USA via this government program, should retain the right of free speech, just as you retain your right to free speech!
We insist that you, as our elected official, work to REPEAL H.R. 1388.
    Frighteningly Yours,
    Mitch Farrar

    Mister Senator,
I have one question for you. The H.R.45 – Blair Holt’s Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009. What are your thoughts on this bill? Will be become as the citizens of Australia, China, Malaysia, and other countries? Will we not have the right to defend our self without having to submit to the government saying if we can or cannot have a gun and then be taxed on each gun. This bill only puts more illegal guns out on the street and puts the law abiding citizens in more danger as that we would not be able to have protection of our home and property. Some people can’t afford the taxes we are forced to pay now. Then if this bill passes we will be taxed on our right to bear arms. Where will this all end?
    Don Ramsey

If you are apart of the American unemployed or share the same views as the unemployed and want to have a peaceful march on Washington to show that we do need our unemployment or in support of unemployment, email me at unemploymentmarch@yahoo.com. This has to be done, a peaceful stand needs to take place soon to make a difference. Before a lot of Americans lose the little bit that they do have. We didn’t ask for the economy to be this way and it is not our fault that we can not find jobs all at the same time. We worked all of our lives and now that we need help, the people in congress is saying no! We are the ones that help pay for wars, national disasters, and the congressmen paychecks. Now they are telling us that they cannot pass a bill so we can feed and house our families. What is more important the “Oil Spill” or the unemployed and their children. I don’t think so, it’s time for a peaceful march, email me at unemploymentmarch@yahoo.com, to make a peaceful stand now.

You and the rest of the Republicans are so transparent! President Obama, as well as us Americans, know what you are doing. Stalling and not voting on what the people want and need in this country. Do the job you were elected to do, and start voting! Your tactics in stalling is only going to back fire on you all. Show our President some respect. How you treat him, is a reflection on how you treat us Americans. We may have been fooled in the past, but not anymore! We The People have spoken by electing President Obama into office. We need change and we need it now! And quit blaming President Obama for the disaster in the Gulf. Enough is enough!

You are a disgrace to your country and should be embarrassed to have the UNITED STATES in front of your title.4th of July is upon us-it reminds us of history and how the people can come together to make a difference.I hope you and your family meet the same outcome as the 15,000,000+ unemployed. You turned your back on the Citizens by playing games and stupid antics.Assistance needs to be offered to ease the minds of the families and allow continued dignity no matter the cost. You spend OUR money like water and the American people MUST and SHOULD be priority one!
“As good government is an empire of laws, how shall your laws be made? In a large society, inhabiting an extensive country,it is impossible that the whole should assemble to make laws. The first necessary step, then,is to depute power from the many to a few of the most wise and good.”
John Adams, Thoughts on Government, 1776
Obviously we dont have the few wise and good in the senate-but we have the power to change that.

  • pelmof 06/29/2010 5:04am

    Dear Senator Collins,
S.3520 needs to be passed immediately. There are 15 million Americans who are “unemployed through no fault of their own,” and who are also frantically attempting to find new jobs that do not exist. The majority of these 15 million have a family dependent upon their income, so that increases the number to possibly 30 or even 45 million Americans who are in imminent danger of losing everything. When this happens, the financial and moral ramifications for this country will be dire indeed. I’ll say it again— S.3520 needs to be passed immediately! Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Thank you Ms. Susan Collins for overlooking the childish bipartisan issues that are keeping this country from prosperity, and voting for what you think is right. You are truly a leader and not a follower like most senators in congress. We need more leaders like you in the White house. You are truly appreciated and once again thank you. Thank you. Thank you!

Total RINO…you are NOT Conservative! Nor is Snow

  • olaler 02/24/2011 8:07am

MS. Collins – Are you a RINO (Republican in name only)? Are you saying that you will continue funding Planned Parenthood after they were exposed on LiveAction.org concerning human trafficking? Planned Parenthood made 63 million in profits last year- mostly from abortions, and they need our help ? What about the many organizations helping with adoptions? Why don’t we let them be privately funded, anyway? We’re going bankrupt- it’s no time to pay for “sissies mistake”!

  • 1ofakindlady 07/26/2011 11:22am

Stop the WAR on the Poor, the Elderly, the Disabled, our Veterans, our Military Men & Women & their Families! It is time to take a STAND & Stop Cuts to Social Programs to Reward the Rich! If there are any cuts to be made it should be to Reduce the POLITICIANS Pay! We should be Strengthening our Social Programs NOT Destroying them. It was NOT Consumers that Destroyed the Economy, It was the Rich, Corporations, Politicians and Stock Market Crooks that CONTINUE to DESTROY our Economy Today! Shame on YOU for NOT Taking a STAND! I AM~

  • jharding 12/05/2011 1:55pm

    Ms. Collins,

Have you READ the Bill of Rights? Have you read the National Defense Authorization Act? And if so, how COULD you vote AYE on the NDAA, recently passing the Senate this weekend? How can you not see the conflict between the two?

You do not represent me, and I am glad you’re not running for re-election this next fall.
