You are a disgrace to your country and should be embarrassed to have the UNITED STATES in front of your title.4th of July is upon us-it reminds us of history and how the people can come together to make a difference.I hope you and your family meet the same outcome as the 15,000,000+ unemployed. You turned your back on the Citizens by playing games and stupid antics.Assistance needs to be offered to ease the minds of the families and allow continued dignity no matter the cost. You spend OUR money like water and the American people MUST and SHOULD be priority one!
“As good government is an empire of laws, how shall your laws be made? In a large society, inhabiting an extensive country,it is impossible that the whole should assemble to make laws. The first necessary step, then,is to depute power from the many to a few of the most wise and good.”
John Adams, Thoughts on Government, 1776
Obviously we dont have the few wise and good in the senate-but we have the power to change that.

I remember when Democrats were excited about a McCain candidacy.

Wow, Traitor McCain goes Hardcore with his sponsored bill S. 3081: Enemy Belligerent Interrogation, Detention, and Prosecution Act of 2010 (McCain Death Camp Act of 2010). This bill ought to round up every freedom loving American that is left on US soil.
Thank You McCain for being all that you can be.

BILL H.R.45 THE CHANGE. WE DON’T NEED
H.R. 45 the new gun control bill written by Senator Bobby Rush from Illinois, they have basically the same system now in Illinois but yet they have some of highest crime rate in the city of Chicago they just don’t get it. IT DOSE NOT WORK. The bill outlaws concealed carry, laws already on the books, protection of your home by having a loaded weapon in your home to protect your family. It has redundant provisions and laws that are already on the books that do not get enforced Our country needs to stop protecting the criminals and those who don’t feel they have to follow the laws of the state or federal government. The people of our nation do not want more gun laws; they want the criminals to know they will be held accountable for the crimes they commit. Is this the change our new President speaks of?

Anonymous 06/15/2008 4:32pm
Is war moral? Or do the Republicans just use religion to sell out the well meaning and good folks of America?

I don’t think McCain himself is going to be commenting on here so it might be better to word these are more general questions. I keep seeing people doing this on candidates pages.

That being said I don’t really have a solid answer. But the fact that he doesn’t mention it anywhere on his campaign website makes me believe he either doesn’t or isn’t willing to fight for it if he does. Which in my opinion is one of the only good things about him.

If you are apart of the American unemployed or share the same views as the unemployed and want to have a peaceful march on Washington to show that we do need our unemployment or in support of unemployment, email me at unemploymentmarch@yahoo.com. This has to be done, a peaceful stand needs to take place soon to make a difference. Before a lot of Americans lose the little bit that they do have. We didn’t ask for the economy to be this way and it is not our fault that we can not find jobs all at the same time. We worked all of our lives and now that we need help, the people in congress is saying no! We are the ones that help pay for wars, national disasters, and the congressmen paychecks. Now they are telling us that they cannot pass a bill so we can feed and house our families. What is more important the “Oil Spill” or the unemployed and their children. I don’t think so, it’s time for a peaceful march, email me at unemploymentmarch@yahoo.com, to make a peaceful stand now.

Anybody notice how long it’s been since McCain has actually voted in the Senate? He has missed dozens of votes including the Lieberman-Warner Fiasco and the new Budget.

AnnaSchaefer 06/21/2010 12:30am

You and the rest of the Republicans are so transparent! President Obama, as well as us Americans, know what you are doing. Stalling and not voting on what the people want and need in this country. Do the job you were elected to do, and start voting! Your tactics in stalling is only going to back fire on you all. Show our President some respect. How you treat him, is a reflection on how you treat us Americans. We may have been fooled in the past, but not anymore! We The People have spoken by electing President Obama into office. We need change and we need it now! And quit blaming President Obama for the disaster in the Gulf. Enough is enough!

There is a federal law that states that the police have no responsibility to protect individuals, only to promote general peace in the community. Sending jobs overseas was an act promoted and supported by the congress. Presidents must sign bills enacted by congress unless and until he has political support to defeat them. Its not a nation run by a dictator, though thats what this administration is tending toward. Note the CZARs in washington bypassing the legalities of the legislature.

The statistics on sponsored bills only cover this Congress (110), not any of the previous. If you look at the oldest of the 22, it is dated Jan 4, 2007. He has certainly has sponsored legislation pass, including the eponymous “McCain-Feingold” campaign finance reforms. A few clicks of research can go a long way.

Philly You must have a short memory. Congress has been democratic mostly for the last 60 yrs. During that time, they have greatly legislated the powers of the president to be less. Its congress who supports the war as the president can only force troop engagement for a few months. After that, they all have to come home unless congress supports the idea.

It’s not really about standing up to big oil – it’s about standing up to the NIMBYS (Not In My Backyard) who want cheaper gas but don’t want new oil refineries built anywhere near them! We can’t handle anymore oil even if we got it, nor can we refine it, store it, or transport it. Our last refinery was built in 1959! Get with it people, try to get past the media and find the real reasons why things are the way they are.

John like most American hero’s believe we must have war to exist.. This party has always thought that way, that’s why they like NO gun control, Yet, they can’t even bring to this country a GOOD Health Care plan for the people; I say VOTE This republican FOOLS out and put in some good, Honest American’s, who want the BEST for everyone, NOT JUST A FEW!!! (and NO, they don’t have to be Democrates either, just down to earth good people who care about our nation and PEACE!)

Anonymous 09/21/2008 11:25am
Propose to Obama that you both give up your campaign slush funds and donate them to the unemployed workers in distress. Ask for live TV debates until November to expose us to your platforms. Go back to work in the Senate and help Americans with the salary we’re paying you to do that! THAT would be campaign finance REFORM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
