Her office refused to take action on fraudulent Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) posted on corporate websites. Sen. Murray is ranking member on Dept of Labor oversight committee thus is best placed to oversea OSHA. Her aide initially was excited in this method of improving worker safety and information gathering when he thought it might have started under President Bush, but when he found out tha the problem started under the Clinton Administration he dropped their support and wouldn’t return calls. Issue: OSHA admits it does not have jurisdiction over MSDSs posted on corporate websites – nobody does. Thus some companies are falsifying MSDSs to claim their products are “nonhazardous” when in fact they may be VERY hazardous (per OSHA 1910.1200 © definition. This is a serious issue that has contributed to the death of workers.

I propose all Union pension plans be stopped effective immediately.

Whomever is currently on a union pension plan may remain, the damage has already been done. But it’s not too late to fix the long-term problem. Move the unions to a 401(K) system just like the rest of the employee’s who invest back into the company they work for. Not only does it benefit the company, it also benefits the economy and provides all employee’s an equal opportunity for prosperity in the free market.

America is free because we have a right to risk and prosperity. The unions are taking this right to choose from the private sector, and they are in turn crippling the economy. It’s really that simple.

Just think about how much true stimulation our economy would receive if the unions instead skipped the entitlement pensions and reinvested back into their company, and in turn the economy. It would be glorious!

Hundred bucks’ says Boeing would immediately come back — and grow.

Now THAT’s job growth!

Time for Murray to go. She does what she’s told by a party and is selling out the nation as a result. She votes in favor of every tax increase, for more government and more intrusive government! I don’t know what agenda she’s pushing, but know it’s not an American one. Plus she has a price, how pathetic.

John Boener doesn’t speak for America. He speaks for his state and his state alone and I would like it very much if he were to just do that. He doesn’t speak for me, nor my family, nor many of my friends. He doesn’t speak for many of those who are in favor of reform, nor for those who are now happy the whole thing is done. He definitely doesn’t speak for you klassylady25 as he is not your senator. If you don’t like what your current senator does, vote for someone else. If that someone else doesn’t get elected, you are free in this country to move to a state that has more of your values.

Glen Beck is an Entertainer, all he wants is ratings and he doesn’t care one whit about you or America. He only cares that he gets his paycheck and that he keeps his job. So he is willing to say whatever he has to in order to keep doing that.

DaleLambert 03/24/2010 3:43pm

I for one am glad that our senator has voted for reform and understands that this issue is not black and white but shades of gray. Keep up the good work.

LucasFoxx 09/16/2010 5:24pm

I disagree with some of her positions, and she has never responded to e-mails, but she is still a better choice than Rossi this year. If you really want to change this seat, you need to start putting up better candidates.

With respect to H.R.3706 proposing to increase the minimum down payment requirements, eliminate 50% of seller contributions, and eliminate financing of closing costs: I believe the purpose of this bill is to reduce the risk for FHA. This bill may actually be counter productive to this cause as what separates FHA from standard Conventional loans is primarily the reduced downpayment and financing of closing costs. By eliminating these, borrower’s have little reason for using FHA and would simply do conventional loans that currently are going for a lower rate than FHA. Couple this with the fact that it will HURT our economic recovery, I strongly oppose this bill and encourage you to contact your representatives to speak your mind.

TeaPartyCitizen 03/12/2010 2:36pm

November 2010 is coming up soon!!!!! I can’t wait!!!!

Guess who I’m NOT voting for? Just take a guess?

I hope Arthur Coday or Don Benton run against you; I would love to see them debate you over fiscal responsibility! Oh man, that would be awesome.

Art Coday would totally school you over health care, too. He’ll teach you a thing or two about the negative side-effects of a socialist health care system. And the voters, hopefully, we will show you the door…

Dear Senator Murray,
S.3520 needs to be passed immediately. There are 15 million Americans who are “unemployed through no fault of their own,” and who are also frantically attempting to find new jobs that do not exist. The majority of these 15 million have a family dependent upon their income, so that increases the number to possibly 30 or even 45 million Americans who are in imminent danger of losing everything. When this happens, the financial and moral ramifications for this country will be dire indeed. I’ll say it again— S.3520 needs to be passed immediately! Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Here’s a problem that is currently going to be a long-term disaster if no fixed.

Washington State’s union corruption and bullying has become far too often. The union single-handedly lowered revenue and shareholder value of Boeing because of long-terms strikes. The unions in their corruption don’t suffer from other private employee’s 401(K) plummeting in value, because their entitlement pension plans will continue sucking the life and profit out of the company for the rest of their lives, without working a single day after retirement. Not only are the unions destroying the investment value of those who actually invest into the company and grow the economy, but the unions siphon hundreds of thousands (or more?) of dollars into growing pension plans for people not even working.

The unions single-handedly pushed away Boeing and sent the company to South Carolina. Boeing left to stimulate job growth elsewhere, because in a socialist atmosphere a company cannot survive.

Regarding H.R. 5786 Why is there no exception to Food Chemicals Codex (FCC) aka food grade ingredients? The skin is thick & deigned as a protective barrier while the digestive track is thin & designed for absorption, thereby implying food grade ingredients are held to higher standards. This would encourage the use of food grade ingredients in cosmetics, thereby encouraging safer cosmetics. Which is the purpose of this Act is it not?
The bill as worded with the testing requirements would destroy small start-up Cosmetic Companies, there needs to be something to encourage small businesses to start companies that are healthy, not destroy them before they start.

How dare you compromise your constituents.

John Boener said in his address to the Floor on Sunday night said, “Shame on each and every one of you who substitutes your will and your desires above those of your fellow countrymen. Around this chamber, looking upon us are the lawgivers. We break the ties of history in this chamber. We break our trust with Americans.”

Many will be watching and looking for men/woman who exemplifies: Honesty, Reverence, Hope, Thrift, Humility, Charity, Sincerity, Moderation, Hard Work, Courage, Personal Responsibility, and Gratitude.

Nike Shox is an array of tiny hollow columns within the midsoles in the shoe, usually of rubber. You will find diverse formations, but Nike Shox are typically four circular columns in a square formation to provide cushioning. There can also be five or six Shox,25mm high, even though they may possibly vary in height, and triangular and rectangular Shox that Nike says give much better stability.cheap nike air max 95 Some shoes have midsoles created entirely of Shox, like the TL series.nike air max 95 greenYou’ll find many possibilities like diverse colors and materials for the Shox, together with custom tags.

Senator, you voted for the bailout. When you did that you lost my vote. I don’t like even one of the “too big to fail” organizations you chose to spend my money on. How many of you are getting paid for the sweetheart bank deal?

You and Maria Cantwell bother me so much… Both of you are lemmings to Jim McDermott, and all three of you love debt and totally enjoy kicking taxpayers right where it hurts the most. Try fiscal responsibility for a change, that’s something to hope for…

It has been common for employers in dire straits to abscond with the 401(K) resources. What makes you think union pensions would be secure there?

Exactly how is it unconstitutional? What real freedoms are being removed? You still have the right to free speech, the right to practice whatever religion you want, the right to have a free press, the right of habeas corpus, the right not to be discriminated against, the right to vote, and many many other rights protected clearly in the Constitution.

The CBO indicates this bill will reduce the debt over time.

Socialism does have a place in America, or don’t you use the public highway system, the water utilities created and mandated by the federal government, or the police or firefighters who are paid through the community, the cheap gas you have compared to other countries, the electrical grid, funded in part by our government, dams created in Washington, built by the government for the people, subsidies from the government to grow crops, the local park, the local library? Wow… guess what? ALL Community driven, tax funded, socialist features.

House Bill titled ‘HR 45, Blair Holt Licensing and Record Act of 2009’. Not another stabb at the law abiding citizen! Please, be kindly reminded of the Amendment II: A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. Please be a staunch rejector to this bill and knock this one into space. I vote and watch this very carefully. We need to be going after the criminals and use the laws that are already in effect. Thankyou and remember: If we like our freedom, thank a Vet!
