    Mr. Voinovich,
Please do not support S2636. It is an irresponsible answer to an urgent problem. We need stablility, and we need to stem the foreclosure wave in this country, but S 2636 will destroy the markets and plunge us deeper into housing crisis. HUD is considering having lenders & banks order appraisals. If this happens, the overvaluation problem may self correct. Perhaps what we need are interim steps to allow lenders & banks to accept partial payments with out changing the loan terms. That could help prevent the multiple penalties on the mortgages.-Please vote no on 2636!

Homeland Security Satellites dangerous to all U S Citizens.

Fear has gripped the Government and many people of The United States, causing havoc among all citizens. Not in history of civilization has such atrocities been realized. Spying and torture has become a common practice to any individual not living the productive life, people who live peacefully, people who are satisfied with their lives.
Once the Government considers a person or persons unproductive, they are considered alien and a danger to the society. The government fears these people for their disrupting the overall progress of the American Way. Growth and prosperity has become a major concern to those people dwelling in luxury and vanity, while individuals who are satisfied with the common way of living are scrutinized and condemned for being lazy and indifferent to any advancement.
America is the product of devastation to the planet Earth, and to the realm of outer space. The government has sold-out to the destruction of the planet with endless violations, removing the material resources and destroying natural environment, ending nearly all ecosystems of other forms of life.
    The End

I hope that you are reading on www.opencongress.org all of the THOUSANDS of comments on the two unemployment extension bills.
THESE are heartbreaking stories and mine is another one – I have worked so hard for so long and there are no jobs out there for us over 50!!!!!!
PLEASE have compassion – we are LOSING EVERYTHING we’ve worked all whole lives for!

Please vote in favor of H.R. 6049. If gas prices don’t do it, maybe this bill will encourage people to do less driving and more cycling to and from work.

What’s the deal with all of these SEPARATE bills for extending benefits? Our responses are DILUTED on the different bills. When they look for the number of comments, it looks like not many but when they add together the comments for all the UE extension bills introduced, they’d have to RESPOND to us!!!!
    2544 is the one that:
    - was introduced FIRST
    - gives us a $50 increase
    - should be pushed for by ALL of us
Make them honor KENNEDY and show empathy for US by passing that bill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dude, Get a job. Quit your wining and get a job. Its people like you who tend to not realize that it doesn’t matter if the government helps you because it will be bankrupt before too long. Your not the only one who is having it hard. My father was in the same predicament, but he didn’t wine and he eventually got another job. Listen, cutting back shouldv’e been something that everyone needed to plan for. I hope that they do not pass this bill, because I do not see the need to put Americans in a worst scenario just to apease the few who do not know or even care to try to get by like our parents and others have had to. Susan, I beg you to think of the future and ignore the rants of those in fear.

You are a close minded idiot, we are in the greatest recession since the great depression. You speak as if there are jobs hand over fist, apparently you live in some majical universe. I have worked everyday of my life since the age of 14, I am 32 year old now. I send out resume after resume trying to find employment most of the time not even getting a response. I hope you lose your job and feel the pain of many Americans without employment. We will remember all of your republican members in November who only care about the rich getting richer. It is simply amazing how they are all the of suddend worried about fiscal responsibiliy, but didn’t pay for the war in Iraq, tax cuts for the rich, and money for the drug companies. Typical Republican attitude only out for themselves never to help out fellow American citizens.

Please, Do not support H.R.45, it happened 70 some years ago. Do not let it happen again.

  • irishsnake 08/14/2009 3:53pm

Voinovich is an unprincipled ass and a traitor for co-sponsoring the PASS ID Act, which will establish a National ID with biometric data.

  • ralphjr 08/17/2009 12:45pm

please do not support bill hr45 and please remind mr holt we live in a free country

  • fegnil 09/09/2009 2:57pm

I am appalled that you voted for cass sunstein via your clotcher vote. You just gave this man the authority to change the American way of life. He is a radical, and you allowed this to happen. You have lost touch with your constituents, and more importantly you have forgotten The Constitution of The United States.

  • superbuckeye 09/13/2009 5:17pm

Please DO NOT sell your constituents down the river anymore. Stop the madness. You have let down your conservative supported by joining the ranks of the socialists on the Hill. Please look in the mirror and remember the values that you stated to get elected.

    Dear Senator,
Do you know who voted you in the position that you hold?
You are being so heartless and cold.
The people need you to vote yes on the unemployment issue.
Because you are not the one wiping the tears of Americans with a tissue.
You are not the one tucking in your children and wondering if and when the roof will be removed.
Just waiting for you to say the issue is approved.
I bet your bed is comfortable and your food hot.
While many Americans hope and prey that your corps rot.
It is funny how what goes around comes around.
While many American ships are running aground.
No hope, no good outlook on what life brings them.
You have left us Americans condemned.
I prey that everything will improve very soon.
While you are at home eating out of silver spoons.
Americans are paddling against a current that leaves them grasping for air.
For us Americans living in despair continue to hold on to that one final prayer.
That we will get what is due to us…

  • AnnaSchaefer 06/20/2010 11:55pm

You and the rest of the Republicans are so transparent! President Obama, as well as us Americans, know what you are doing. Stalling and not voting on what the people want and need in this country. Do the job you were elected to do, and start voting! Your tactics in stalling is only going to back fire on you all. Show our President some respect. How you treat him, is a reflection on how you treat us Americans. We may have been fooled in the past, but not anymore! We The People have spoken by electing President Obama into office. We need change and we need it now! And quit blaming President Obama for the disaster in the Gulf. Enough is enough!

  • rhondafm 06/21/2010 6:40am

Senator George Voinovich’S OFFICE WILL TELL YOU THAT HE HAS VOTED AGAINST UI AMENDMENT BECAUSE HE IS NOW BECOMING FISCALLY RESPONSIBLE (RETIRING) AND DOES NOT WANT TO PAY TAXES

  • Revolution 06/28/2010 7:18pm

You are a disgrace to your country and should be embarrassed to have the UNITED STATES in front of your title.4th of July is upon us-it reminds us of history and how the people can come together to make a difference.I hope you and your family meet the same outcome as the 15,000,000+ unemployed. You turned your back on the Citizens by playing games and stupid antics.Assistance needs to be offered to ease the minds of the families and allow continued dignity no matter the cost. You spend OUR money like water and the American people MUST and SHOULD be priority one!
“As good government is an empire of laws, how shall your laws be made? In a large society, inhabiting an extensive country,it is impossible that the whole should assemble to make laws. The first necessary step, then,is to depute power from the many to a few of the most wise and good.”
John Adams, Thoughts on Government, 1776
Obviously we dont have the few wise and good in the senate-but we have the power to change that.

  • pelmof 06/29/2010 6:10am

    Dear Senator Voinovich,
S.3520 needs to be passed immediately. There are 15 million Americans who are “unemployed through no fault of their own,” and who are also frantically attempting to find new jobs that do not exist. The majority of these 15 million have a family dependent upon their income, so that increases the number to possibly 30 or even 45 million Americans who are in imminent danger of losing everything. When this happens, the financial and moral ramifications for this country will be dire indeed. I’ll say it again— S.3520 needs to be passed immediately! Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
