Thank you for voting with the Congressional Progressive Caucus, Back to Work Budget—a detailed plan to create nearly 7 million jobs while bringing down the deficit by $4.4 trillion over a decade. And it does this the right way with higher taxes on the wealthiest (including a 49 percent rate on incomes over a billion dollars); a financial transaction tax that would discourage reckless speculation; an end to tax advantages for outsourcers & corporate jets; an environmental saving carbon tax; a public option for health insurance better than Obamacare; sensible military cuts; & investment in infrastructure, school construction, child care, & putting teachers & firefighters back to work.

At least proof read your postings. Also, do you have a job? If you do you better pray you keep it. Finding a “real job” takes more effort than you might think.

Speak for yourself. I would love this bill pushed down my throat so that I can have healthcare. Not sure about you, but healthcare sounds pretty good to me right now…

Congressman Blumenauer’s sponsorship of HR 5786— the amusingly titled “Safe Cosmetics Act of 2010”— is ignorant, unscientific and vicious.

If he cared at all about small business he would pursue this agenda to fanatically regulate the cosmetic and personal care industry with at least some provision for them in mind. Instead, he seeks to fine and attack decent people selling handmade soap at the farmer’s market or running a local spa. These small businesses and innovators already willingly, happily use all-natural, mild, non-toxic materials, and this bill would drive them out of business with absolutely no benefit to consumers.
