Your home state has had the opportunity to create jobs with a chance to build an Oil Refinery in Georgetown. The legal action at that time was blocked by a small opposition during a time when most South Carolinians were unaware of this opportunity. Now we repeatedly hear the commitment from Politicians to help get the US from foreign oil dependency. SC could drill offshore and refine right here at home and create a huge amount of revenue as well as jobs. This would be done with no environmental impact.
You are a disgrace to your country. You have sealed your fate by voting for Cap & Trade tonight. 2010 will be your last year in office. Enjoy it.
One who betrays another’s trust or is false to an obligation or duty ~ The time has come in American when those, in service, stop making a living off of those that work. Time to find a real job.
Moderated Comment
Who will be nominated to run against Clyburn? Our group of conservatives in SC is looking into this issue. I hop you are a registered voter in SC and would be willing to vote in this election.
Sincerely,
JB
And be like the mess that BP made and didn’t pay for.
Thank you for voting with the Congressional Progressive Caucus, Back to Work Budget—a detailed plan to create nearly 7 million jobs while bringing down the deficit by $4.4 trillion over a decade. And it does this the right way with higher taxes on the wealthiest (including a 49 percent rate on incomes over a billion dollars); a financial transaction tax that would discourage reckless speculation; an end to tax advantages for outsourcers & corporate jets; an environmental saving carbon tax; a public option for health insurance better than Obamacare; sensible military cuts; & investment in infrastructure, school construction, child care, & putting teachers & firefighters back to work. We need more like you.
