I was sorry to read that you have endorsed John McCain for president. As a Republican leader I find it hard to understand how you can endorse someone who is not pro-life. McCain spoke candidly from his heart during a primary debate in 2000 about abortion. He was asked what he would do if his teenage daughter was considering an abortion. His answer was that it was her choice. Alan Keyes immediately jumped in and told McCain never to call himself pro-life again. I remember that debate, the only time I’ve ever heard McCain speak his true thoughts.
I want a president who will veto embryonic stem cell research legislation the next time Congress passes it, not someone who voted for it in the Senate! I want a president who understands the pro-life cause is what gives the Republican party its legitimacy, not someone who treats it as just another issue like the economy. I want a president who can defend the pro-life cause, not just say “I have a pro-life voting record.”
You have missed an opportunity to endorse a truly pro-life candidate, Mike Huckabee, who has fire in his belly when it comes to the pro-life cause.
Note that the ‘value voters’ are speaking with their votes, voting against McCain. If Romney had dropped out of the race before Super Tuesday the delegate count would be very different.
If McCain does gain the nomination he will go down just as Bob Dole did in ‘96, another Republican who didn’t get it, because those of us that are pro-life will not vote for him. I predict another good year for the Constitution party.

DEAR CONGRESSMAN HENSARLING,
~ SHOULD POORER AMERICANS HAVE FAITH THAT OUR U.S. SUPREME COURT IS WELL AWARE THAT AMERICAN PESTIGE INTERNATIONALLY IS VERY MUCH BASED ON HOW WELL WE TREAT OUR OWN CITIZENS~
Dear Congressman Hensarling:
H.R 6238, the Fort McClellan Registry Act proposed by Rep. Paul Tonko of NY was not addressed in the previous Congressional session, and will be reintroduced in the current session.
I was a W.A.C. stationed at Fort McClellan, and I have suffered a myriad of health issues over the years due to my exposure to chemical contaminants there.
As one of your female constituents, I beg you to support this legislation, which will establish that our health problems are service-connected, so that those of us who were exposed can seek care through VA.
Mr. Hensarling, we are PEOPLE, we are taxpayers, we are VOTERS. We voluntarily served our nation – it is not right that all of us should be ignored now, and simply tossed away as “disposable”.
I admire you greatly, and vote for you regularly. Thank you for your support.
