    Mr. Schiff:

I urge you to pass S. 2544 – the Unemployment Compensation Extension Act of 2008.

After having served honorably in Afghanistan and Iraq, I returned to a shaky US economy in July 2006 and was fortunately able to find a job relatively quickly. However, in late August 2007 I was laid-off and have been unable to find work since.

It seems obvious to everyone but the politicians that the economy is in a downward spiral. I think the experts call it a RECESSION! It seems that most politicians are too busy feeding at the trough at the public’s expense, and are so disconnected to the reality of the economic crisis occurring in the country to even notice the disasterous state of the economy.

Can you say, “HOME MORTGAGE CRISIS, HIGH FUEL PRICES, STAGFLATION, RAMPANT UNEMPLOYMENT, MEDICAL INSURANCE COSTS THAT HAVE TRIPLED IN THE LAST FIVE YEARS?” Oh yea, I forgot, you politicians get the best medical insurance plans for FREE. I know, you’ve got to look out for No. 1.

Is this how politicians repay servicemen and women that risked their lives when called for duty? It’s disgusting to see fat cat politicians living “high on the hog” while the rest of us are left scrambling for crumbs.

WAKE UP MR. SCHIFF and get your head out of your . . . the sand. We’re in a RECESSION and the unemployed need relief RIGHT NOW, not tomorrow. Let’s move S. 2544 along.

Am I the only sane constituent that Adam Schiff has? No wonder he runs amok, not passing any meanful legislation. No disrespect to the Armenian people, but honestly Mr. Schiff, what good does it do Americans in this day and age when you waste valuable time sponsoring idiot resolutions condemning the massacre of Amernians? Have you got nothing better to do? How about pushing through some real legislation like S. 2544 – the Unemployment Compensation Extension Act of 2008, or relief for mortgage crisis, or look into why the oil companies are f…ing every time we go to the pump?

Mr. Schiff, how ’bout helping Mr. Lawrence Richards (who posted a message on this board on March 1, 2008) with some mental health assistance. Pass some meaningful legislation Mr. Schiff and make your So. Cal. constituents proud lest the voters decide you are not serving their interest and vote you out of office.

Yesterday, June 6, 2008 the Dow Jones plunged 395 points, oil price spiked to $139 a barrel and the Labor Dept. reported that the economy lost 49,000 jobs in May.

With such dire signs of economic doom and gloom Mr. Schiff, you would think that Congress and the Senate would take immediate action to stimulate the economy by passing HR 5749, Emergency Extended Unemployment Compensation Act of 2008. Instead, Mr. Schiff, you and your colleagues caved in to Bush’s harebrained “stimulus check” scheme. It’s obvious that fuel prices have had a domino effect on the rest of the economy. Coupled with the housing crises, which has similarly affected the financial, insurance and building sector; the country is headed for a serious economic meltdown. It seems like everyone but our elected officials realizes that that the U.S. needs to take immediate action NOW.

Even people who have good jobs are finding it difficult to survive in an economy that’s suffering from all the symptoms of a recession, although, don’t tell the Blue Dogs that we’re in a recession. These Heartless Blue Dogs democrats (including you Mr. Schiff) who are living high on the hog with their free rade A insurance plans while the rest of us pay through the nose for any type of half-way decent medical medical coverage.

Congress should have passed S2544 when Ted Kennedy proposed it back in the beginning of the year. Good Bless Ted Kennedy for trying to help the average Joe. At least Kennedy’s S2544 would have served as a buffer for the downward spiral that the economy now faces and possibly bought people some time to try to get back on their feet before being thrown out of their homes or face financial ruin.
However, unlike the honorable Mr. Kennedy, our California elected representative, Mr. Schiff is too busy sponoring obscure and idiotic resolutions (like H. Res. 106) that do nothing to help AMERICANS here at home. H. Res. 106 calls on the President to “ensure that the foreign policy of the United States reflects appropriate understanding of the Armenian Genocide” and to “accurately characterize the systematic and deliberate annihilation of 1,500,000 Armenians as genocide.”
Now tell me Mr. Schiff, how does H. Res. 106 help the average American TODAY with the high price of gas, or with trying to survive in this difficult economy? Now if you chose to focus your energy on the Armenian genocide issue, DO IT ON YOUR OWN TIME. Don’t waste taxpayer money on trying to ensure that the foreign policy of the United States reflects appropriate understanding of the Armenian Genocide. Honestly, nobody but a few freaking Armenians in Glendale give a rat’s ass about the Armenian Genocide issue.
Oh but wait, Mr. Schiff didn’t waste taxpayer money pushing H. Res. 106. He and Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz also visted Armenia and Azerbaijan. Mr. Schiff further wasted taxpayer money by introducing a bill urging Turkey to lift blockade of Armenia. Mr. Schiff also attended an event on Capitol Hill honoring of the 93rd Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. At this event, Mr. Schiff vowed to continue to lead efforts in Congress to recognize the Armenian Genocide.
Again, Mr. Schiff, why don’t you concentrate pushing through some real legislation, like HR 5749, that would extend unemployment benefits to unemployed AMERICANS. Better yet Mr. Schiff, why don’t you just introduce a bill to provide benefits to all the unemployed ARMENIANS since this is the constituency that you waste most of your time supporting. No, I’ve got a better idea. Mr. Schiff, why don’t you just run for the KING OF ARMENIA and let someone who will really represent California’s interests have your slot.

I guess Mr. Schiff just plan to wait until half of America loses their jobs, is thrown out of their homes because of the mortgage crises and the economy hits the skids before taking action.

Mr. Schiff, voters will remember how you and your heartless Blue Dogs democrats sold them out and turned their back on Americans come election time. Below is a list of the other heartless Blue Dogs democrats that are blocking passage of HR 5749. I urge to you write to them and express your concern. Better yet, show your disapproval the next time they come up for reelection. OUT WITH THE BLUE DOGS IN WITH THE NEW DOGS!

JUDICIAL INJUSTICES BEING INFLICTED ON POORER AMERICANS NEEDS….C*H*A*N*G*E…..

SENATOR OBAMA, PLEASE LET THE AMERICAN VOTERS AND THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY KNOW YOUR FEELINGS AND THOUGHTS ABOUT A NEEDED FUTURE REPAIR AND RENOVATION OF A BROKEN US JUDICIAL SYSTEM THAT CONTINUES TO ALLOW THE EXECUTION’S OF EVEN POSSIBLE INNOCENT AMERICAN’S LIKE TROY DAVIS OF GEORGIA ?

BEING THE WEALTHIEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD SENATOR OBAMA, DON’T WE NEED AS THE LEADERS OF THE FREE WORLD TO BEGIN ONCE AGAIN TO RE-INVEST THE PROPER MONIE$ IN OUR OWN US JUDICIAL SYSTEM, ASSURING ALL OF OUR CITIZENS THEIR RIGHTS TO FAIR TRIALS WITH PROPER LEGAL REPRESENTATION ???

DOES GOD NEED TO LOBBY OUR US CONGRESSIONAL LEADERS OF THE FREE WORLD ON BEHALF OF OUR poorer american’s SENATOR OBAMA,OR ARE YOU WATCHING OUT FOR THEM ?? ***OUR US CONGRESS CONTINUES TO DENY MIDDLE CLASS AND WORKING POOR AMERICANS PROPER LEGAL REPRESENTATION EVEN THOUGH WRONGFUL EXECUTIONS & FALSE INCARCERATIONS CONTINUE ALL ACROSS AMERICA ???

    • 700 BILLION $$$ AVAILABLE FOR US BAILOUT, & NO $$$ FOR ALL POORER AMERICANS PROPER LEGAL REPRESENTATION ?
SENATOR OBAMA, THIS JUDICIAL INJUSTICE HAS BECOME AN AMERICAN ART FORM, AND NO LONGER CAN BE KEPT HIDDEN OR SECRET FROM THE AMERICAN PEOPLE EVEN IF CERTAIN (501c3) U$ RELIGIOU$ LEADER$ HAVE BEEN $ILENCED ??

LETS ALL HOPE OUR MEDIA FRIENDS CONTINUE TO SHOW AN INTEREST IN REPORTING ON THIS AMERICAN HORROR FACING THESE (TENS OF THOUSANDS) FORGOTTEN AND TRAPPED POORER AMERICANS, AND HOW THIS PRESIDENTIAL CONTENDER HANDLES THIS VERY SERIOUS ISSUE FACING AMERICA’S LATINO AND BLACK AMERICAN COMMUNITIES ????

WITH 80% OF THE BLACK AMERICAN VOTERS SAYING THEY SUPPORT SENATOR OBAMA IN THIS PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION, IT IS ONLY FAIR FOR EVERYONE TO KNOW PRIOR BEING ELECTED OUR NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES HOW THIS DEMOCRATIC SENATOR TRULY FEELS ABOUT THIS AMERICAN JUDICIAL INJUSTICE CONTINUING TO INFLICT GRAVE HARM ON THE BLACK & LATINO AMERICAN FAMILIES AND THEIR COMMUNITIES NATIONWIDE ??

    • WHEN GOD’S FACE BECAME VERY RED * THE US SUPREME COURT GAVE ENEMY COMBATANTS FEDERAL APPEAL HC RIGHTS LAWYERS AND PROPER ACCESS TO US FEDERAL COURTS,AND POORER AMERICANS (MANY EVEN ON DEATH ROW) ARE DENIED PROPER FEDERAL APPEAL LEGAL REPRESENTATION TO OUR US FEDERAL COURTS OF APPEAL, AND ROTTING IN AMERICAN PRISONS NATIONWIDE ?????
    • INNOCENT AMERICANS ARE DENIED REAL HC RIGHTS WITH THEIR FEDERAL APPEALS ! THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE $LOWLY FINDING OUT HOW EA$Y IT I$ FOR MIDDLE CLA$$ AND WORKING POOR AMERICAN$ TO FALL VICTIM TO OUR U$ MONETARY JUDICIAL $Y$TEM.

WHEN THE US INNOCENT WERE ABANDONED BY THE GUILTY **** The prison experts have reported that there are 100,000 innocent Americans currently being falsely imprisoned along with the 2,300,000 total US prison population nationwide.

WHERE ARE AMERICA’S RELIGIOUS LEADERS ???
Since our US Congress has never afforded poor prison inmates federal appeal legal counsel for their federal retrials, they have effectively closed the doors on these tens of thousands of innocent citizens ever being capable of possibly exonerating themselves to regain their freedom through being granted new retrials.

This same exact unjust situation was happening in our Southern States when poor and mostly uneducated Black Americans were being falsely imprisoned for endless decades without the needed educational skills to properly submit their own written federal trial appeals.

This devious and deceptive judicial process of making our poor and innocent prison inmates formulate and write their own federal appeal legal cases for possible retrials on their state criminal cases,is still in effect today even though everyone in our US judicial system knows that without proper legal representation, these tens of thousands of innocent prison inmates will be denied their rightful opportunities of ever being granted new trials from our federal appeal judges!!

Sadly, the true US legal Federal Appeal situation that occurs when any of our uneducated American prison inmates are forced to attempt to submit their own written Federal Appeals (from our prisons nationwide) without the assistance of proper legal counsel, is that they all are in reality being denied their legitimate rights for Habeas Corpus with our US FEDERAL COURTS and will win any future Supreme Court Case concerning this injustice!

For our judicial system and our US Congressional Leaders Of The Free World to continue to pretend that this is a real and fair opportunity for our American Middle Class and Working Poor Citizens, only delays the very needed future change of Federal Financing of all these Federal appeals becoming a normal formula of Our American judicial system.

It was not so very long ago that Public Defenders became a Reality in this country.Prior that legal reality taking place, their were also some who thought giving anyone charged with a crime a free lawyer was a waste of taxpayers $$.

This FACADE and HORROR of our Federal Appeal proce$$ is not worthy of the Greatest Country In The World! ***GREAT SOCIETIES THAT DO NOT PROTECT EVEN THEIR INNOCENT, BECOME THE GUILTY !

A MUST READ ABOUT AMERICAN INJUSTICE:
    1) YAHOO 2) GOOGLE MANNY GONZALES THE KID THAT EVERYONE FORGOT IN THE CA PRISON SYSTEM.

    • A JUDICIAL RIDE OF ONES LIFE !

Someone please tell our US Congress that the GED degree that Manny Gonzales acquired in prison is not a LAW DEGREE !!!!!!

    Adam Schiff has no conscience.

He votes party-line and not in the interest of his constituency.

He voted for the bailout bill, probably having not read the bill (how could he have, the bill wasn’t furnished to the members of the House). Doesn’t phase Schiff; other Democrats voted for it, so like a lemming, he voted for it too—even though his constituents were against it.

Is it a surprise he voted for H.R. 2454? He didn’t read that bill as well—unless he could get through 1200 pages, and the 300 page addendum within 24 hours. He doesn’t care about us. He doesn’t care if we have to pay higher energy costs. His vote for H.R. 2454 is basically authorizing taxation without representation.

I am commenting on your vote for the HR 3962 Affordable Health Care for Americans Act. The way I viewed the bill, I responded by voting “Nay” and disapproving of what it had to say. I would like to ask for a reason of why, you voted “Aye” on this bill. Along with your response, were you considering the option of Catholic Social Teachings in your letter?
