H.R.1955……….is she doing anything to get rid of this bill?
Why are you so interested in taxing the sale of animals raised for educational programs?

It was a thoughtcrime bill, an obscene and ambiguous piece of legislation that would basically streamline the criminalization of political dissent. I’m very glad that it died on the way to Senate… But not at all glad that it passed the House by an utter landslide.
Kind of hard to do that in the Senate since thats a House bill….

Wow, “interesting” comments so far. I would just like to say that this senator is lying to you. She supports retaining gun purchase backround check (NICS) records longer than 24 hours because “Tiahrt Amendment restricts police from using gun trace information”. First the Tiart Amendment only restricts non police agencies from getting gun trace information. Second, NICS records are not gun trace records and retaining them won’t help in gun traces. Don’t accept her lies.

Specifically, it would reclassify spouses and children of legal immigrants as immediate relatives, raise the per-country family-sponsored and employment-based immigration limits from 7 percent to 10 percent of total admissions, recapture visas that went unused in previous years due to bureaucratic errors, allow widows and spouses to remain eligible for visas after the death of a sponsoring family member, and more. will solve our problems and pains.. i beg you to help us .. please..

I’m asking for help in getting the Uniting families act out of committee and onto the floor for a vote. I am legal married in the wonderful country of Canada which sees all people as equal not like the United States.
Once again the uniting families act is in committee, and it seems like it’s up to Nancy Pelosi to get it onto the floor to be voted on. There are over 36,000 people waiting fingers crossed that this bill is passed many people are living in exile over this.
I urge everyone to watch CSPAN. Senator Gillibrand does not vote for the interest of us americans. She votes for spend,spend, spend.
I have repeatedly called her and asked her to vote no, but she just ignores what is in the best interest of us. She has become buddies with Senator Boxer, who is a way out liberal.
We do not want any government health care. It is not free, you will be forced to pay for it, whether you have the money or not. It will be rationed and horrible. I have read the bill they have. The government refuses to be on this health plan, so what does that tell you?
Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac are all run by the government, and those programs are all broke!
It is time for us americans to clean house and vote these senators out, and start new. Maybe we will get lucky and have no more corruption!
I was very pleased when Ms. G twice voted down the initial bailout monies. Now that I look back, I think she voted NO because Bush was in office and Bush supported the bailouts. Since the “O” man has taken office Ms. G has voted straight down the party line. Including the remaining bailouts, carry and conceal hand gun legislation, and this ludicrous health care reform package HR3200. What a cluster you-know-what (rhymes with truck)! I’ve read the first 13 pages of the over 1000 page document and I’ll tell you… I haven’t read such gibberish-double speak in my entire life (I’m 48)! Well Ms. G, you were appointed by New York Emperor, I mean governor, Patterson and I can just about guarantee you, YOU WILL NOT be blessed with my vote in 2010.

did you just see that the stimulus is creating jobs for China? Well, california’s high speed rail will be made in China, and the Chinsese engineers will be coming to the US to plan it out. I don’t know of any train manufacturers in the United States that would make those high speed trains for California. So it’s common sense that we will import them from somewhere else. The jobs would be created when putting down tracks and building the train stations not in the manufacturing of trains. And protectionism won’t bring those jobs back to the US so forget implementing tariffs on Chinese imports.
And the VAT would replace the income tax, not an additional tax. Please get your facts straight!

S.3520 needs to be passed immediately. There are 15 million Americans who are “unemployed through no fault of their own,” and who are also frantically attempting to find new jobs that do not exist. The majority of these 15 million have a family dependent upon their income, so that increases the number to possibly 30 or even 45 million Americans who are in imminent danger of losing everything. When this happens, the financial and moral ramifications for this country will be dire indeed. I’ll say it again— S.3520 needs to be passed immediately! Did you see the health care bill is going to raise rates DOUBLE! One for the annual premium, and one for the health care bill that goes in affect at the end of this month!
