I was very pleased when Ms. G twice voted down the initial bailout monies. Now that I look back, I think she voted NO because Bush was in office and Bush supported the bailouts. I don’t know of any train manufacturers in the United States that would make those high speed trains for California. So it’s common sense that we will import them from somewhere else. The jobs would be created when putting down tracks and building the train stations not in the manufacturing of trains. And protectionism won’t bring those jobs back to the US so forget implementing tariffs on Chinese imports.

And the VAT would replace the income tax, not an additional tax. Please get your facts straight!

She supports retaining gun purchase backround check (NICS) records longer than 24 hours because “Tiahrt Amendment restricts police from using gun trace information”. First the Tiart Amendment only restricts non police agencies from getting gun trace information. Second, NICS records are not gun trace records and retaining them won’t help in gun traces.
