I recently head you say in a telephone conference call that you wouldn’t agree to any compromises that you thought would hurt the american public. While that sounds nice, it defeats the purpose of compromise. What compromise means is that you walk away unhappy! It means that you don’t get what you want but you get something, they don’t get what they want but they get something. What you said in your conference is akin to a chef saying “I’ll compromise on the ingredients of my pancakes unless i don’t like them”

I would just like to say that I’d rather hear that you compromised and voted for something you hate; rather than dug your heels in so they didn’t make any concessions and just forced it through the legislature anyway.

If people give you a hard time about it remind them what compromise is, and that republicans are not in a position of significant power right now. and that if they want change they should convince their neighbors to vote. 25% turnout is pathetic.

When are they going to vote on this bill HR 197 allowing U.S. residents who have the right to carry a consealed weapon in their state able to carry in another? This is taking too long and the gun grabbers are messing with oOUR right to bare arms. We have jumped through the hoops for our rights. why restrict us? Like jcat5150 said, We have the right to drive in every state with one license why not carry in other states with one permit. I believe it to be a farce on the government to hinder protection.

Anyone who votes against consumer protection has no interest in representing his constituents. Thanks, opencongress.org, for exposing Tom McClintock.

Ron Paul, thank you!! I hope to see this bill passed and also find out how much gold USA still has and where it is NOW stored.

Wow! You also applauded Attorney General Holder for vowing not to prosecute the sale of marijuana in states where that is legal (like California). Keep up the good work, Congressman!

Representative McClintock,

Mr. McClintock,

If you don’t already, I strongly urge you to support HR 197. A law abiding citizen from any state who qualifies for a carry permit should not be restricted from carrying in other states any more than a person with a driver’s license from one state should be restricted from driving in another.

Thank you for your time.
