I think she’s done a good job advocating for us so far. She’s sponsored a couple bills addressing local issues, tried to get money for CSU and cosponsored a bipartisan bill to negate a recent congressional pay raise. I’ll be honest, most of my good feelings about her come from her signing a letter opposing the reintroduction of the failed ‘94 “assault weapon” ban, but so far I’m not unhappy.

Sure she voted 99% with her party. I don’t remember her saying anything about being a “maverick” or a Blue Dog during the campaign. All her backing came from liberal, woman’s, gay rights and environmental groups why would you expect her to be conservative?

I have asked her a couple of things and NO response! Repeat ask, and NO response!!

Markey voted yes for the cap and trade energy tax

District 4 has lots of rural areas where people travel a long way to go to work and to take their kids to school. District 4 is also an agricultural and energy producing region, %40 percent of Greeley residents have to commute to another city to work. This bill is going to hurt us really bad. Remember the windmill manufacturing and solar cell plants need power to run their operations and the employs all travel from other towns to get to the plants buy car and have to pay to heat their homes during our harsh winters. Don;t forget swift and all they employ htis bill hurts them real bad.

Besty, thank you for your bailout vote and you have voted well on other issues but unfortunately I think you may have voted your self out of a job this one, cap and trade is going to hurt us real real bad. Good luck on our future endeavors and who knows maybe you will get a chance to fix this and put the people you represent first. I understand you are trying to fit in with your new friends and are trying to find you place in DC but please remember the people you are suppose to protect and where you came from.
