Mr. Ross,
This bill unfairly changes the retirement plans of hard working middle class employees mere months before they reach their retirement dates after paying into the plan for 30 years. Taking away the supplemental annuity will force many to keep working at a higher rate saving the federal budget nothing. In my case I cannot physically continue to do the labor in my job for another 6 years so if your bill passes I will retire on about $1000 a month. How will making me and thousands of others poorer help the economy? I take your bill as a very personal attack on the 29 years I have spent in service to the public. Federal employees are real people trying to make a living. I am a GS-7, not rich or overpaid. Passage of your bill and taking away my supplemental annuity 9 months before my retirement date after 30 years of working is cruel and I don’t deserve it. Not for the sake of petty partisan politics.
Dear Mr. Ross:
Your first sponsored bill could not be more on target to begin to move our federal budgets back to balance. I believe I speak for the entire South Shore Chapter of the Tampa 912 Project. Keep up the good fight.
