PLEASE act on S.2544. HELP fellow AMERICAN CITIZENS - we may be losing our homes and paychecks but we WILL continue to vote... and we WILL remember who was compassionate to hard-working Americans who lost their jobs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The blog on www.opencongress.org under 2544 is HEART-BREAKING!!!!!!!!!
Wouldn't you think that Barack could get back to work in the Senate and do SOMETHING concrete for this country?????
He's being paid for this job and doing nothing.
Why can't he pass Kennedy's bill (which he cosponsored)?
If he can't get things done in the Senate, don't EVEN make promises for when it's too late!!!!!!!!!!!
Give up a photo op, Barack, and get some work done in the Senate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been out of work since November 2007. My unemployment benefits have run out. My money has run out. I unable to obtain employment and need more time to continue my search for employment. I am at risk of losing my car. Gas prices continue to rise daily. I am highly skilled in my field. My State Rhode Island is one of the hardest hit with unemployment. I am 53 old and have worked hard all my life. I've paid taxes all my life, and this is how my country is treating me. Unbelievable. The Senate, House and President continue to play games as peoples life's are put in jeopardy. Totally disgusting. So all the extra time that I am not spending on looking for employment, I will dedicate to making sure any politician that votes nay on not extending unemployment insurance will be out of a job their next term by informing the public of their decision in every forum available. I will encourage others to do so as well. It is time in this country for the people to take control of their government again and take it out of the hands of the uninformed, out of touch, uncompassionate, ignorant, greedy, self absorbed fools that are the true terrorists ruining this country. Pass a fxxkxxg bill extending unemployment benefits or you will be out of a fxxkxxg job!!!!!!!!!
NASTY PERSON, NO WONDER YOU ARE UNEMPLOYED. YOU ARE AS TACTFUL AS A HOT TAR ROAD.
Senator Grassley, we all know there are special projects that each and every Senator would like to have in their respective States. But, this Iraq/Afghanistan war funding supplement, the New GI Bill, the Disaster (flooding) Relief funds, along with the Unemployment Extension are vital to people's lives. This Legislation needs to pass the Senate as is, it has to have the same Language as what was drafted by the White House and Congress. We all know you have allot of pull in the Senate and you are very Respected there as well. So please think about all these people that need this help now, not a month or 2 or 3 months from now. We the People need you now Senator. thank You for your Time and Consideration.
Respectfully and Sincerely,
Timothy
