Senate Judiciary Chairman Pat Leahy (D-VT) recently called for the creation of a "truth commission" to investigate the Bush administration's conduct in relation to torture and the build-up to the Iraq war. "Many Americans feel we need to get to the bottom of what went wrong, Leahy said during a <a href="http://leahy.senate.gov/press/200902/020909a.html">lecture</a> at Georgetown University. "We need to be able to read the page before we turn it."
