Kenny Hulshof (R-MO) has announced that he will retire from Congress at the end of his term in order to run for governor of Missouri. Hulshof explained his reasoning as a desire to keep a Republican hold on the state house upon the retirement of Gov. Matt Blunt. “We need a state government that knows its place, does its job well, and then gets out of the way of the American spirit,” Hulshof said.
