During his opening statement in a hearing on steroid use in baseball, Henry Waxman (D-CA) <a href="http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/scorecard/mlbnews.asp?articleID=222824">announced </a> that he was asking the Justice Department to look into whether or not former Baltimore Oriole Miguel Tejada lied in an earlier testimony to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. Waxman and Ranking member <a href="http://www.opencongress.org/people/show/400098_thomas_davis">Tom Davis</a> (R-VA) have sent a letter to Attorney General Mukasey urging a criminal investigation of Tejada.
