Though the Senate is on vacation until Jan. 22nd, Jim Webb (D-VA) will be gaveling the Senate into brief sessions in order to block President Bush from making recess appointments, which bypass the usual Senate confirmation process. Webb, selected for the job because of his close proximity to the Capitol, held the first of sessions on Dec. 26th to block the appointment of Steven Bradbury as assistant attorney general.

STOP BILL HR 1955 AND S BILL 1959
I have been out of work since November 2007. My unemployment benefits have run out. My money has run out. I unable to obtain employment and need more time to continue my search for employment. I am at risk of losing my car. Gas prices continue to rise daily. I am highly skilled in my field. My State Rhode Island is one of the hardest hit with unemployment. I am 53 old and have worked hard all my life. I've paid taxes all my life, and this is how my country is treating me. Unbelievable. The Senate, House and President continue to play games as peoples life's are put in jeopardy. Totally disgusting. So all the extra time that I am not spending on looking for employment, I will dedicate to making sure any politician that votes nay on not extending unemployment insurance will be out of a job their next term by informing the public of their decision in every forum available. I will encourage others to do so as well. It is time in this country for the people to take control of their government again and take it out of the hands of the uninformed, out of touch, uncompassionate, ignorant, greedy, self absorbed fools that are the true terrorists ruining this country. Pass a fxxkxxg bill extending unemployment benefits or you will be out of a fxxkxxg job!!!!!!!!! Try to remember you work for all the PEOPLE of this country! And all those PEOPLE will remember how you vote on this issue.
Support disabled veterans attempting to better themselves
by voting "yes" on bill S.1261- "repelling the 10 year limit on use of Montgomery GI Bill." This 10 year limit is counter productive as it penalizes those that served with distinction and honor. Congress must now honor is patriots, not abandon sacred duty. Pass S.1261.

I would like to thank you for helping my brother get out of Iraq so he could get the medical attention that he needed. I don't like the fact that my dad had to speak to you personally though. I think that if a soldier needs medical attention they should get it. It seems to me that a soldiers life isn't that important anymore. If they can go over there and risk their life they should get everything else that they need. If you could work something out where somebody doesn't have to contact another person really important to just to get help that would be great. There are so many other people that need medical attention that can't get it when they need it.
