California's 52nd congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of California based in San Diego County. The district consists of many of San Diego's suburbs, including Lakeside, Poway, Ramona, La Mesa, and Spring Valley. During the redistricting after the 2010 US Census, the District was moved to the west, to include neighborhoods such as Carmel Valley, La Jolla, Downtown San Diego, and Coronado, California. The district is currently represented by Republican Duncan D. Hunter, who has represented the district since 2009. Due to redistricting, in the 2012 election Hunter is running as the incumbent in the 50th congressional district, while Republican Brian Bilbray, who has represented the 50th district since 2006, is running as the incumbent in the 52nd...
