Colorado's 6th congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of Colorado. Located in central Colorado, the district encompasses much of the southern part of the Denver-Aurora Metropolitan Area, including the suburbs of Littleton, Centennial and portions of Aurora. The district is currently represented by Republican Michael Coffman, the former Colorado Secretary of State, and is one of the wealthiest congressional districts in the country with a median income of $73,393. Formerly a safe GOP district, redistricting after the 2010 Census has caused this seat to become one of the most competitive seats in the nation.
