The 22nd Congressional District of New York is a congressional district for the United States House of Representatives, currently represented by Republican Richard L. Hanna, located in Central New York. Significant cities in the district include Utica, Rome, and Binghamton. Binghamton University, Hamilton College and Colgate University are located in the district. The district includes all of Chenango, Cortland, Madison, and Oneida counties, and parts of Broome, Herkimer, Oswego, and Tioga counties. From 2003 to 2013, the district included all or parts of Broome, Delaware, Dutchess, Orange, Sullivan, Tioga, Tompkins, and Ulster counties. It included the cities of Binghamton, Ithaca, Kingston, Middletown, Newburgh and Poughkeepsie. The district stretched to include parts of the Finger Lakes region, the Catskill Mountains and the Hudson Valley. (More from Freebase)
